Mary Ellen Guffey has done ALL the hard work! Juicy, readable text: done. Riveting "inside" information on cool corporations: done. Web-based support? Manuals? PowerPoints? Videos? Done. Fresh writing prompts, some packaged with the research already done? Done. With my old text, I've been drowning in an attempt to supplement and update and enrich the dated material enough to keep it relevant and arresting. Now I'm finding that I have plenty of time to interact with students over their own writing and presentations. I've always felt one-on-one and small-group interaction to be a huge part of my mission as a classroom teacher. Thanks to Mary Ellen Guffey, I'm able to do more of it, while spending less time overall on take-home work. The chapters were lively (even for a four-hour lecture class!) and provided real-world details and examples. The website accompanying the textbook has plenty of extra information for classroom use, as well as activities that students can do to review chapters and test their grammar skills. 5 stars (A Great Book for College Students) - Business Communication: Process and Product has been the best textbook I have worked with. Arabic-English Dictionary- The Hans Wehr Dictionary of Modern Written Arabic

1 stars (make a bigger alfabetics .......please!!) - printing is so poor in this book, itis of a poor quality in reading visibility . The material in the boock can be terrific but unfortunately hard to reach becase they are illegible suggestion " take the same boock and reprint it in a defferent ptinting company that has a cear alfabetics qulit of writing and add more price to it we will by it . waht is the use of a boock if i can't read ? thanx 5 stars (By far the best) - I learned Arabic at the Defense Language Institute where they've used Hans Wehr for some time. At first I must say that it is quite hard to use until you've learned how to derive the root from a word, the alphabet of course, forms of words, and verb measures. Therefore I would definitely advise you to start with a cheap dictionary which is more easily understandable, at least until you learn the basics. Having said that, I have to tell you that anyone who says this is not a good dictionary was most likely just frustrated because they had not learned the basics yet. If you look the reviews, you'll notice that most complaints were from people trying to learn Arabic from the beginning with Hans Wehr. You'll also notice that anyone even remotely familiar with Arabic can't seem to praise it enough. Thats because once you're through learning the root system you are going to realize that the Hans Wehr is by far the most comprehensive and useful dictionary you'll find unless you're studying a very technical or esoteric subject. I guarantee that once you get your foundation in the language and have used this dictionary for a little while, other dictionaries will simply piss you off with how superficial and disconnected they seem. Just give it a little time. 2 stars (A one-way dictionary) - I found this dictionary to be totally useless because it only goes one way, Arabic to English.
