WinNc.Net is a file manager for Windows XP and 2000/ME/98/95 that replaces the use of the existing Windows Explorer. Developed by a small Dutch multimedia company called Dunes MultiMedia, WinNc uses the same key shortcuts and the same mouse functionality as a well-known DOS file manager. WinNc 3000 Professional only comes in one flavor now, and that flavor is fully loaded, sort of like a deluxe Mercedes. WinNc has all the makings of an excellent replacement for Windows Explorer. It features an attractive, independent double-pane view (selecting a path or file in one pane has no effect on the other) and offers drag-and-drop support for moving files between the panes. You can even use it to handle all of your file transfers via FTP. WinNc can rip audio cds directly to mp3, using a cddb server for naming mp3s. An internal text viewer, editor and graphic file viewer are also part of the package. WinNc is able to view the following formats: JPG, GIF, BMP, TGA, WMF, PCX, MP3, WAV, FLC, DOCS, XLS, TIFF,WMV, HTML, MID, AVI and much more.
