Dungeon Siege- Legends of Aranna Expansion Pack

5 stars (Dungeon Siege: Legends of Aranna Expansion Pack) - This game rocks!!I cant beleive how huge it is.I have played this game for well over 60 hours and still have not completed it. 3 stars (Mediocre medieval masher) - This game was recommended to me by a friend. It's similar to Diablo II in nature, but I would say that it's a much better game. That being said, it's a pretty boring and unengaging piece of software. The game looks good. The controls are good. But... no story, no problem solving, no puzzles, and battles can almost happen without your input, they're so computer assisted. It almost does it all for you, especially since the spellcasting is basically useless aside from healing and summoning. I do like some features of the game like potion sorting, customizing character attack perameters, etc. I do think the game is quite beautifully rendered for the type of game that it is (diabloesque), but that eventually got tired and I ended up not finishing it. Replay value is non-existent here. Mediocre fare. 3 stars (disappointed) - Unfortunately this game is rated as working on the XP. The expansion does work on the XP. And is very good. The reason I don't rate the game higher is that the origional Dungeon Seige starts working, but then around the mid point it crashes. It replaces the screen with squares of green. Once they appear, nothing can be done. I E-mailed Microsoft and the developers and they insisted that I just had to erase the game from the computer and then reload the game onto the computer. It then crashed the same way. I gave up after three crashes. But as I say, the expansion does work and is quite fun. The main game is also fun until it crashes. ...

5 stars (Mesmerizing!) - There is simply no better way to learn these songs. You can isolate different sections of the music and loop them over and over (both the audio and the tab/notation). You can even slow it down. The animated fretboard is also very cool. It plays the notes in time with the music. It even bends the notes. I only wish they'd make more. 2 stars (Poor user interface, technical problems) - I spent about an hour getting this to work correctly. I am disappointed with the interface and the lack of lesson information. Not a bad product but there are better guitar programs for sure 4 stars (Great fun but not for beginners) - This is a wonderful CDRom. The songs are mighty enjoyable, and eMedia lets you see exactly how the blues greats created the toe-tapping music that they did. But be warned: learning to play these songs using the eMedia system isn't for rank beginners. I'm a classical guitar player with over a decade of playing experience, and I had to slow the songs to less than half their speed to even have a fighting chance of keeping up. You're expected to already know some blues techniques and have some accessories (e.g. a glass slide). Eventually, I know I'll get the hang of these songs and have a great time. But it's gonna take practice, practice, practice. ...

The Legend of Zelda- The Wind Waker

5 stars (The best Zelda game yet.) - The Legend Of Zelda video game series is one of the best video game series ever.This game is not only fun and has great graphics,but offers so much more to do than just beating the game.There is a huge "ocean" to sail around with so many islands with things to do.There is also many unique characters that all play important roles in the game.This game should be in any video game player's collection,definately. 5 stars (Wind Waker, better then Ocarina of Time? The cartoon effects are actaully very cool when you get used to them.) - This is probably the best Gamecube game out the closest rival to It's greatness has got to be Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. This game is an indirect sequal to Ocarina of Time and the storys are probably just about the same in quality. DUring the game Link starts a rivalry with a giant phoenix that takes his sister to a faraway island when Link finally reaches there aboard this pirate ship he sets out through the foretress on the island to rescue his sister. when he finally finds her the phoenix flings Link far away from his sister and Link must regain his strength and return even stronegr to fight the bird of prey. *Spoiler* Link finally arrives and scales the mighty foretress on his new found boat named "king of Red Lions" after he encounters the bird it's payback time baby! he flips out his newly acquired Skull Hammer and Pummels the bird silly. then for the finnishing blows Link cuts up the bird with his sword like nothing. But it seems there is a greater evil then the phoenix, it seems Ganon is back and your on an even longer escapade! Highly recomended game EXTREMELY good replay value. Ive beaten it 4 times so far because after I beat the game and the second quest my memory card file got deleted and I had to start all over again but amazingly it was still fun and I enjoyed beating it the next plays through the game. 4 stars (Great Improvements in the game) - When videogame sequels are released, gamers often wonder how it contrasts the original in the series. After numerous hours of game play with the first X-men Legends game and careful review of X-men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse, gamers are going to get the same mutant bashing, level destroying fun of the first game with a considerable amount of improvements. Compared to the first X-men legends game, the second in the series has many upgrades. First of all, the unexpected alliance of the X-men and Brotherhood members allows players to assume the role of not only the goody, goody X-men characters we all love, but also the malicious members who make up the brotherhood. Mutants such as Magneto, Juggernaut, Scarlet Witch, Sunfire, and Toad are suiting up to stop the evil that perils them. In addition to adding some powerful new characters - and weeding out the weaker ones - Each character has a much larger array of skill up grades. In fact, more than double the amount of usable skills can be found for each character, as well as more passive skills, resulting in more ways to customize each of your mutants. The introduction of acts in this installment is a huge improvement. Unlike the first game where players are forced to follow the storyline unable to return to the areas they have previously visited, Rise of Apocalypse takes players through five acts, which can be revisited at any time. This also allows there to be more hidden areas and items to be found, since players can revisit any area. New secret objects include data discs (increases the number of potions held) and tech stations (increases one of a characters four primary statistics), along with the old secret findables danger room discs, comic books, and sketchbooks. The Legend of Zelda- Minish Cap

5 stars (Evil reveiw people... I don't want to title it. T_T) - The Legend of Zelda; Minish Cap, was extreamly short. When I first got it, I spent a while playing around and collecting everything I could. I almost got to all twenty or however many hearts you could get, but, feh. After I beat it I got the mirror sheild, and I might play around getting the last couple of kinstone fusions to see what happens but anyway... Overall, this game is extreamly fun, however very short. It's best for those that want to beat another Zelda game but don't want to have to commit to it too much. It's sweet and short, I guess you could say. Anyway... I'm busy... Sayonara. The Legend of Zelda- A Link to the Past

5 stars (unbelivable) - if you like the legend of zelda the minish cap, you will love this game and vise-versa. 5 stars (A classic! And a must have for any GBA owner!) - I can't count the hours I spent playing the Zelda games as a kid. I was very pleased when Nintendo decided to start re-releasing the classics on the GBA. This is very true to the original with a few changes. Most additions they made I consider to be nice improvements, and they add a little "new-ness" to a very nastolgic game. Other features, like Link screaming whenever he falls or swings his sword, are a bit annoying but quickly become unnoticable due to the sheer fun factor of the game. The 4-swords addition is a nice touch as well, and adds a bit of multiplayer fun to the package. 5 stars (review) - Nothing beats the classic game for nostalgic impact. I remeber playing the game as a little girl and its just as much fun now. I would highly recommend the new Zelda game the Minnish Cap for everyone. It occupies my time out here fairly nicely. ...

XB X-Men Legends 2- ROA

4 stars (Just get the Playstation version!) - This is a great game, but the Xbox has been having trouble with it. It tends to freeze up while in the Danger room and while changing characters. So if you do get the Xbox version save often!!!!!!!! 5 stars (The Empire Strikes Back for X-Men) - This is a great game. It brings together INFERNO, THE AGE OF APOCALYPSE, THE BROOD, MAGNETO's GENOSHA SAGA & THE SAVAGE LAND all into one solid story consistent with the comics. The playability is just as dynamic and fun as X-Men Legends with more mutant powers and selections of skills. This even comes with more of a background cast including vindicator, heather hudson, Ka-Zar, Banshee (Aye Laddy!) Kitty Pryde etc. The enemies range from Mr. Sinister to Garokk to Karl Lykos. The only thing about the game that has less quality than the game is the execution of the X-Treme power which is in some cases not as nice as X-Men legends 1. This overall is a true continuation off of X-Men legends. A must-get for any X-Men fan. Aye LADDY!!!! 5 stars (Better than the first (if possible)) - X-Men 2 takes everything the first one did wrong and either fixes or scraps it, and then takes everything the first one did right and makes it better! Now, I'm a huge fan of the first one, so I didn't really think there was much wrong with it, but X-Men 2 is so much better! The action is very intense and fast-paced, and I also love the customization you can put into your heroes (or villains). This could have been the game's only flaw--you level up so often it becomes a distraction from the action. However the designers handle this by giving you the option of automating level-ups and power allocations, so if micro-management isn't your thing, feel free to just slug it out. There are a great mix of characters to choose from, although in my opinion there is some imbalance to some of them, such as Scarlet Witch who has NO melee capabilities to speak of, and no way to develop them, or Nigh...

The Endurance - Shackleton-s Legendary Antarctic Expedition

5 stars (Great book with outstanding pictures) - In reading this book I am amazed at the needless hardships these men have endured and even thou they failed how much you can learn about leadership in this book. The lack of common since surely hurt them to no end. I felt Shackleton even thou always optimistic among the men did not learn from his past failures or obtain very much common since but put his own desire to succeed before the safety or well being of the men. Overall it is a very interesting story and I enjoyed the pictures immensely it really brings the story to life. 5 stars (Enduring 'Endurance'.) - An excellent book, lavishly illustrated, which considerably enhances this absorbing tale of hardship and courage in bitter weather conditions, which would otherwise bt difficult to visualise. 1 stars (Read Alfred Lansing's Book) - Several days after purchasing Caroline Alexander's, "The Endurance: Shackleton's Legendary Antarctic Expedition" from Amazon.com, I read a few customer reviews that recommended Alfred Lansing's 1959 classic: "Endurance: Shakelton's Incredible Journey." These reviews extolled Lansing's book, and pointed-out how Alexander's was essentially a rewrite of this earlier work. Consequently, I also purchased his book, and thoroughly enjoyed reading the two of them while on vacation a few weeks ago. (I had already begun Alexander's book -- so, completed it before beginning Lansing's.) Alexander's book has one (and only one) distinct and obvious advantage over Lansing's -- the inclusion of scores of the original expedition photographs taken by Frank Hurley (the ship's photographer). These photos are incredible and make Alexander's book indispensable to anyone interested in Shakelton's Endurance expedition. That said -- here's why I gave her book only ONE STAR. 4 stars (Seabiscuit: An American Legend) - Seabiscuit, by Luara Hillenbrand, is an absorbing tale of a horse racing legend. The vivid descriptions in the book makes the reader feel like you lived in the 1930's. The book ressurects the drama of horse racing. Hillenbrand has a way with words, in this novel, the reader feels like the jockey participating in the race. The book wasn't just centered around the horse. Those who owned and took care of Seabiscuit were just as interesting as the horse. Personally, I would give this novel two thumbs way up. 5 stars (Horse Sense) - A horse is a horse, of course. Unless that horse is something more. Much more. Like Hope. Winning. Success. Beating the Odds. A Second Chance. Being an American. Striking it Rich. Coming from Behind. The underdog that finishes on Top. Seabiscuit. In his time, he was as great a representative, and in many ways a better spokesman, for the eminence of American rugged individualism and perseverance, than some of his less communicative superhero contemporaries such as Lucky Lindy, John D, Joey D, Stan the Man and the Brown Bomber. Surely a great American icon deserves an equally great biographer. But a big name author would not be in keeping with the spirit of our story. Seabiscuit was a nobody. His greatness was built on adversity, his own and that of his teammates, Pollard, Smith and Howard. So too, it is with Hillenbrand. Before she discovered this remarkable quartet, she too was a sickly, defeated nobody, suffering from severe depression. We may never know for sure what personal demons she needed to exorcise by writing this book. But, her achievement speaks for itself.
