Microsoft Money 2006 Premium

4 stars (Techin' HOT!) - Helps me keep my finances on track! I can keep track of the people that borrows my money too!! This software is cool and hot!. If you're having probs with your finances, you should get it becuase you can exactly where most of your money goes. What I love is it helps you with your taxes at the end of the year also can help you plan your taxes if you want to get a certain amount of returns. I haven't played with it thoroughly to give it 5 stars plus I just got an error on it a couple of weeks ago but haven't receive the error since. I totally recommend all my friends and family to get this software. 1 stars (Money 2006 Premium) - Have used Money for several years and recently upgraded from Money 2003. The data conversion appeared to go well, but the program "lost" several reporting functions. The graphics and "reset" buttons on the report customization menus are grayed out. However, graphics in the 'Monthly Report" and in the lifetime planner work fine. MS suggestion was to create a new file and then export each account individually to the new file. With 125+ accounts that would be absurd. I did set up a small trial file with some minimal data and found all graphics functional. I still prefer the 2003 version but cannot go back now. 4 stars (MS Money 2006 has some good new features) - This update includes a sidebar to link to program features, making easier access to everything. There are also more vendors & advertisements contracted with Microsoft willing to charge you money for their services, though some are free. The one bad feature is that MS no longer provides an option to work offline. Considering that this program involves personal finances, the user should have this option. ...

5 stars (Pac-Man) - I also have namcomusem (it has Ms.Pac-Man). You shoud first get namcomusem frist THEN this collection to have 5 Pac-Man games wich are 1.Pac-Man 2.Ms.Pac-Man 3.Pac-Mania 4.Pac-Attack 5.Pac-Man Arrangement Pac-Man This game started Pac-Man. I can get past 2 grafics and thats it. Can't go any ferther. Ms.Pac-Man The first apperence of Ms.Pac-Man. There is moving fruit to cach. Just like Pac-Man I can get past 2 grafics and thats it. Can't go any ferther. Pac-Mania 3D game with a big Pac-Man and big ghost. You can jump in the game. I set the game to end at level 23 and when I'm on that level it takes trys and trys to beat it. After lots of trying I beat the game. Pac-Attack A Reference of Tetris,you see blokes with the ghost and you can retote them before they hit the ground. You'll see Pac-Man soon and when he hits he'll try to eat the ghost until there isn't any more or he hits a block. there're is 2 modes. Normal and Puzzle. I'm tryng to beat puzzle mode. Pac-Man Arrangement A 3D Pac-Man game in 5 worlds with powerups, daschs and jumps, and big ghost. It's like Pac-Man exsept there is a bost level at the last round. I've beat the game. It's a lot of fun. Helpful? Hope it was. 3 stars (Not much of a real collection) - Well, I have to say, I was really excited when the Pac-Man Collection came out. I thought about how much fun it would be to play every game in the series. What I got was something a little different. First off there is good ol' regular Pac-Man. You eat dots to advance in the levels. Ghosts try to stop you. Try to avoid them. There are 4 power pellets throughout the maze. Eat them, and the ghosts will turn blue and run away from you. Now you can eat them for some nice bonus points. Also, an occasional fruit will appear under the ghost home. Munch on them for some bonus points. I have two gripes about this game though. Learn to Play Chess with Fritz and Chesster

5 stars ( Learn to Play Chess with Fritz and Chesster ) - I wanted a game that helped my 6 year old advance his interest in chess and this did the trick. He learned about how the pieces moved, their names, how to write the codes for the moves and had a great time doing it. If you never played chess or just want a game to learn more about strategies and technique - this is it. 5 stars (Learn to Play Chess!) - I really like this computer game because it uses parts-to-whole instruction - it introduces each chess piece separately with an interesting strategy game that teaches how it moves. Kids have to master the strategy games for each piece before they are given a chance to play with a full board. But more important than MY impressions are those of my kids - 6 and 8, boy and girl, - who just LOVE this game and cheer each other on. I am thrilled to have them captivated by a "thinking" game. They have generalized their interest in chess to a real board too - they do not just play the game on the computer. Another note - while I personally enjoy the graphics, they are not sophisticated or realistic, but more like illustrations in a children's book. WarCraft III- Reign of Chaos

3 stars (Amazing... but I'd rather have a game more like Starcraft.) - In a few ways Warcraft 3 is good, but I prefer more of a Starcraft type game. WC3 has better graphics by far, more strategy, and definetly much harder because of the addition of heroes. Obviously WC3 has better graphics. It was released after Starcraft and produced by the same company, better graphics are expected. The games cinematic movies are amazing, the characters come to life through the lines and lines of programming. Even the graphics in the normal game play are quite good compared to any other game. You can see distinct features on each of the character models, and they are pretty impressive. The graphics are great but they dont *make* the game. The game requires much more strategy, and this is its downfall. While Starcraft was easy to learn and easy to play WC3 requires so much attention and multi-tasking it is sickening. In SC you could beat down one and sometimes two people easily just by massing the basic unit and upgrading them. In this game, you've gotta get all the units because they benefit eachother, you need buffers, healers, damage dealers, everything! If you don't have one type of unit, and the enemy does you've got no chance and are going to be decimated. He'll walk all over you and since it takes so long to build an army after he destroys you on the battlefield he'll walk right into your base and "game over." Starcraft is much more easy-going when it comes to units. Having a specific type of unit such as a defiler to cast plague, or a high templar to cast psi storm can help immensely but its not absolutely necessary to have your victory. Not to mention if your armies are destroyed out in the map you can see what units the enemy has. By the time he gets to your base you could have a whole new army and in turn whipe out his forces. Heroes in the game are, I admit, a cool feature. They give you a sense of power, and even look cool! The thing is they are actually much too...

Microsoft Money 2006 Deluxe

2 stars (Some features expire in 2 years) - Decent interface, nice product overall, if you can stand the in your face advertising they have in the program for 3rd party advertisers. I can't believe I PAID to see spam. The downloads from credit cards are nice, but Microsoft announced that the downloads expire after 2 years. This has been happening since Money 2003. Money 2002 is the only one that doesn't have the credit card / bank statement downloads expire after 2 years. Google Money 2006 (in groups) to get other opinions. Oh, and if you're on the paranoid side, don't use passport. A friend was on tech support at MS and they had him turn on passport and they were able to see all of his account information over the net. I don't know how that works but its a little scary if you ask me. 4 stars (Good Solid Product) - I liked the product a lot, it is a major improvement from the 2000 version I had previously. The online service is very nice. However, not every bank is linked to money directly, so you might have to download the file into money. Very quick loading up the application. Overall a very solid application. 4 stars (Nice software could be more) - I recently upgraded from Money 2003. I was pleasantly suprised with the ability of downloading transactions for all credit card , bank and investment accounts. So all you have to do is check the info downloaded daily weekly whenever you want. Had a little trouble with one investment account but overall was easy to setup. This is real nice for those of us who are not very fast on the keyboard. Was hoping to get a product to help with retirement planning but after reviewing found it to be real weak in this area. ...

(as you can probably tell, I have read the book too) the only thing strange is that alot of the parts in the book were replaced by "searching on your cell phone" or something. I think it would have been even more cool if it was in the early 1960's like it is in the books. Also, I don't think that you should have to be 10 to play the game. The World of Harry Potter

4 stars (Must Have) - For Harry Potter Fans a complete pack of the games to date...i loved playing them and can't wait for HP4 game to arrive 5 stars (Awesome entertainment value, great for kids and adults who play along with them) - My 7 year old daughter and I have been searching for a good computer game to play ever since we finished up 101 Dalmations on the PC more than a year ago. I've read her the first three Harry Potter books, and then discovered this collection. It is a big winner. You get four different games (which each originally sold for the cost of this collection, or more). We finished the Sorcerers Stone in about two weeks of evening play. It has plenty of play value to get us to go back, mainly to find the hidden secrets we did not find the first time, and to play some better games of Quiddich. We have just begun playing the Chamber of Secrets. Everything about this one is an upgrade from Sorcerer's Stone: smoother play, more spells, more hidden areas, new activities, new features. We are enjoying it immensely. Some kids are game fanatics, and can handle the controls alone. Another reviewer was correct, a game controller makes these much easier. My daughter and I share the controls when we play together. In these games, she takes the mouse to cast spells and direct Harry's point of view, I work the arrow keys to move us around. We have quite a lot of fun together this way. The games feature the same story line and content as the books. Expect the same (very low) violence level as the books. So I'm giving this bundle 5 stars based on just games. Heck, I would have given it 4 stars for the Sorcerer's Stone alone, or 5 stars for the Chamber of Secrets alone. Palo Alto Business Plan Pro 2006

5 stars (Just what I neded) - I was looking for something to make my planning process simpler, and still very professional. I have used Business Plan Pro in the past, and I am very happy with the latest version. The increased help is wonderful and really explains issues related to the concepts behind business planning. I love the new wizards to help me get through the process, and the output is very professional with color charts and graphs. Hooray for the new version! 2 stars (Business Plan Pro 2006 Review) - I have been using BPlan Pro since 2002 when they released the version "BPlan Pro 2002", and HAD been a very satisfied user of the product. Last week I purchased (upgraded to Business Plan Pro 2006- Premier), and my experience has been pretty bad. As a rather experienced user of the product I found the following problems. New Users 1.Exporting to MS Word gives pathetic quality for chart-images. You would never want to take anything like this to a potential investor. I contacted Palo Alto Technical help and they were LEAST helpful. The person said "That's a Microsoft problem. We cannot do anything with that". If they don't expect it to show up right in Word, I wonder what program they are expecting it to show up in. (FYI, I must say here that the resolution in Adobe Acrobat was perfect, but unfortunately you CANNOT edit a PDF document unless you have the Acrobat Writer-approx $500) 2.In short, you have to work within the Bplan Pro 2006 itself, and export directly to Adobe PDF format (which gives you very little flexibility to work on the document, outside of Bplan Pro 2006). In contrast, Bplan Pro 2002 gave you the flexibility to export it anytime (any part of the plan) into MS Word and you could edit it without losing any clarity in the charts at all! (Interestingly, I asked Bplan Tech support, why they cannot do something which they easily had in their own product 4 years back!!, and the answer again was.."it has something to do with Microsoft" Old Users ...

4 stars ( Jumpstart Reading With Karaoke ) - I have a 5 yr old and a 7 yr old who enjoy playing the game. The microphone is a big hit, and works well. Both my boys sang along at least five times when they got their first song on the jukebox. Listening to their voices made both of them really speak up, loud and clear. I was personally amazed that my 5 yr old spoke so clearly into the microphone. I feel the software was nicely made. DeLorme Street Atlas USA 2006

1 stars (Worst Program Ever) - I never got this thing running. My computer exceeds all of the specs required to work this thing and it crashed and crashed and crashed. Do not purchase this whatever you do. 1 stars (Still no support for non-English version of Windows) - I have used a Street Atlas since 2004. Steet Atlas 2004 & 2005 versions do not support non-English version of Windows. Even if you have a English version of Windows, if your default language setting is not English, some major features of the Street Atlas, such as find, do not work at all. So I must change the language setting to English and reboot the computer to use it. It was a real hassle and I have really wanted this problem to be fixed in 2006 version. However, that problem still remains and you even need to change the language setting just to install Street Atlas 2006 (Installation was fine with different language setting in 2004 and 2005 version). So if your default language setting is not English in Windows, you'd better use Microsoft Steets & Trips. MS Streets & Trips works fine in any language setting and it starts to support a voice prompt feature and turn-by-turn GPS direction guide from the 2006 version. I am really disappointed that Delorme does not care about the non-English users. 4 stars (Delorme Street Maps) - Seems to give the information we need with directions and maps. Still perfecting using it and getting familiar but it seems to be good for our needs. ...

Microsoft Money 2006 Standard

5 stars (Microsoft Money Software) - I am very pleased, so far, with this software. I am finding it user friendly. 4 stars (MS Money '06 Std) - The interface between MS Money '06 and your bank/credit union is much improved (meaning it doesn't hang in limbo like it used to). It also shows the statement balance and the bank balance, which can vary due to credit card charges and other e-payments that haven't posted to the account. The initial charge categories have been simplified, with room to expand as you need to (I usually categorize Automobile Fuel separately, due to the cost and budget accordingly). All in all, an improvement over the 2005 version I was using. 1 stars (2006 or 2005?) - I just bought and loaded 2006 Standard. It is identical to 2005, matter of fact I thought the install failed and was still on '05. Save your money if you already have 2005. ...

WarCraft III Expansion- The Frozen Throne

4 stars (a Nice edition after all) - the expansion was nice specially the story and new add-on's to the game(unites, building and magical abilities ,..etc). But I didn't enjoy the game that much because the game was running sluggish because of my computer....ahhhh....time for a new NVIDIA graphic card. I recommend this pack to warcraft hordes. 5 stars (A top notch creation, as expected from Blizzard) - Blizzard is known for their million seller series of Starcraft, Diablo, and Warcraft. If you never heard of Blizzard, then you must be out of PC gaming world. Their existence is that important. So, like expected, Blizzard brought us another wonderful add-on to an already incredible game; and it's name is Warcraft III : The Frozen Throne. This is a must-get for any RTS mania. It is so good that in fact, anyone that ever played any video game in his/her life needs to buy this. There is so much more than just plain old stragety to this game. Campaign mode is just jaw-dropping good. The cinematics are way over the top of anything, especially when you acknowledge the fact that this game was released in the summer of 2002. Already 3 years old but it doesn't seem like it because if you're a TFT player you know there are so many things to do with the game that you rarely get bored. Aside from the world first class Campaign mode, there is the unbelievable map editor that comes with the game CD in which you get to not only edit existing maps by changing terrains, but start fresh new with an empty map and fill it with stuff, or use triggers to make custom games that exceed the popularity of most other RTS games....which is a real shame. I mean, you would expect game makers to make games right after seeing so many people go kuckoo over Starcraft, but in 9 years there has never been a single RTS game that came nearly close to the greatness of Starcraft in my opinion. 4 stars (Nancy Drew returns in keen retro style on her twelfth adventure) - Nancy Drew turns 75 this year, and she's still got her youthful sense of sleuthing... in fact, she's as keen as when she first came out in 1930. In honour of Nancy's 75th birthday, Her Interactive has set Nancy's newest mystery "Secret of the Old Clock" in 1930s America before the start of the depression. Nancy drives a sporty blue roadster, listens to jazz records, and talks nervously of the possible Depression, while using expressions such as "keen," "horsefeathers" and "the bee's knees." Nancy's first mystery (based on her first two books Secret of the Old Clock and Mystery at Lilac Inn) finds her investigating mysterious happenings at the Lilac Inn. The inn is run by seventeen-year-old orphaned Emily, whose mother died recently, and her guardian Jane Willoughby, but Emily has asked Nancy to come help her. It turns out that she's been hearing things, and various "accidents" have occurred. The plot quickly thickens, leaving Nancy to puzzle out an eccentric millionaire and a forged will that has high stakes for all involved: Jim Archer, banker on the edge of ruin, Richard Topham, "clairvoyant" who lives in the deceased millionaire's house, Emily and her guardian. As with previous titles, a good deal of puzzle solving is chore related, of the "I scratch your back, you scratch mine" mentality. This means that Nancy must complete chores for other characters before she can receive the necessary information (or inventory) to proceed. Microsoft Student 2006 DVD

1 stars (Would love to tell you but the CD was blank.) - I don't know if Amazon got a shipment of these, but I ordered two (returned the first one then got a replacement) and the second one was blank too. I wonder if anyone else had this problem. 4 stars (MS Student 2006 - Nice Study Tool) - I was originally in the market for a good encylcopedia when this product came to my attention. In the past we had good experiences with Encarta. MS Student 2006 gives us all the benefits of Encarta and much more. We bought this for my son who is a 7th grader. My son has already used this a number of times to help with his schoolwork and we have owned it less than a month. It has summaries of many novels that he has already read and many more well known titles he will be reading later down the road. It has a great math module. I also like the many links directly out of Encarta to the internet. Overall this is a nice product and well worth the price. 5 stars (Great Learning Aide) - I bought this package primarily for my 14 year old highschool freshman, but my 8 year old 2nd grader has also been using it. Certainly the best learning aide I've seen. Great research features displaying results from both the encyclopedia and the web. The online math tools include a link that let's you pick the students course book. Once set up you can go to any review item by chapter and page and read a detailed explanantion of the question just with different numbers than in the book. It has almost eliminated the time I have to spend with him on his math homework. My 2nd grader loves the kids encyclopedia and browsing information on nature and science and even my 5 year old has been looking at the pictures and photo galleries. They all seem to have fun using the software, which is certainly preferable to playing video games. Even though I'm not even close to having explored all the features, whatever I've seen so far is outstanding. It's defintely worth every penny. ...

XB NCAA Football 2006

5 stars (Great Game!!!!!) - I had never purchased an NCAA football game until this one, and I must say that I am happy that I did. I love the college feel that it brings to the table. Playing the Texas and Ohio State game in the Horseshoe with the crowd going nuts and the screen shaking was awesome!!! I see that a lot of people are complaining about the fact that throwing long passes is just too easy, but I have to ask if anyone ever watches college football on Saturdays? This is exactly what happens week in and week out in college football. Reason being is that there more than twice as many talented wide outs than there are corners in college football and I feel that that is accurately portrayed in this game. I don't have any gripes with this game except for the fact that in the rush for the heisman mode you are the automatic starter no matter what program you go to, and you don't have the ability to change the depth charts except for when the game is about to start and you have to do this before every game. All in all this is a great game and because if it my Madden 06 disc is collecting dust on my entertainment center. 3 stars (Hailmary Wonderland...Yikes!) - Last years version of the game was okay at best. One could bomb the ball up and have your reciever snag it about 3/4 of the time. This year, this is not the case....its worse. The playaction deep bomb is over done. I have played six games on Hiesman and have broken every school & game record by nearly double. The great part is the recievers will catch the ball in stride, but the DBs fight over the ball and knock eachother out of the play! If you are okay w/ this flaw, the game is great. But when there is a money play this easy to execute, it puts the game down quite a bit. Rent before you buy, in my opinion, this flaw ruins the game. 5 stars (Now everyone has a reason to go to college) - NCAA Football 2006 captures the college atmosphere extremely well.
