Golden Tarot Deck

5 stars (I finally found my deck!) - I can't tell you how many decks I have looked that just didn't "resonate" with me! The traditional Rider-Waite was just too ugly for me, and some other decks were just too weird or out there for me. This deck combines my love of art with tarot, and it is perfect for me. The box that it comes in is perfect to keep the cards in (no need for a different box or tarot bag), the book that comes with it is thorough and she gives ideas for spreads and what the cards mean in both upright and reversed position. She offers a lot of insight into the cards and the process of their creation. My only complaint (no big deal to me) is that the cards are hard to shuffle. 4 stars (This deck's so pretty) - I have been following the Golden Tarot online before, and when I have finally decided to get my first tarot deck, I chose Golden Tarot. After I got the real deck, I was a bit surprised to see how "shallow" the images are because there seemed to be a lack of sense of space in the images. But afterall, they are made from collages of many other paintings. All in all, I am happy with the deck because the images are really pretty and they convey very deep meanings behind. About the booklet, it provides basic and adequate information and instructions for the deck, but half of it was in fact references to all the painting images the author has used. If you would like a more in-depth tarot book for beginning learning tarot, you'd probably need to get another book instead of relying on the booklet in the package. 3 stars (Simplistic imagery but great for beginners) - I guess the cards are pretty, but the lack of symbols makes this a rather simplistic deck that leaves me cold. Colours are ok, nothing striking, but really rather clichey. If you go to the website [...] and like them great but notice how little the comments on each card are and look carefully at how simplistic the cards. Definitely for beginners. ...

Annotate the book because it doesn't include some key commands used in the tutorial Be careful to check dimensions of drawings; it's NOT as sophisticated as CAD and there are distinct limitations. However, there are some handy pre-packaged tools. 1 stars (Over The Top) - This software has been a disappointment. I have intermediate computer skills and yet I find this software to be an unreasonable hassle for doing landscaping projects. What appealed to me was the ability to add landscaping project details to a photograph to help visualize a design scheme. I have worked on this software program far too long with basically no results. The CD tutorial is not that helpful. I bought this product for business purposes. I have real estate that I wish to improve the curbside appearance. Punch- Ultimate Deck and Landscape

1 stars (Ultimately Not! Punch Out) - Deck design allows design of will/might look good, not what it takes to construct. No place to select joist size/spacing; type of footing; size and placement of cross beam(s), cross blocking or size of decking boards. I'll find a WIN98 machine and use 3D-Deck instead. 1 stars (Far better ways to spend your money and your time) - I had low expectations to begin with but they were still too high. This program is just not up to the task - plain and simple. I spent several nights trying to get a two-tierred deck designed and have wasted my time struggling with this terrible product. If I hadn't borrowed this CD from a friend who also couldn't do any constructive work with it, I'd have demanded my money back. I beg someone to write a review who's HAS designed and built a deck with this toy; add a link so we can see what you actually accomplished. Its time to use something useful like AutoCad... 3 stars (Not Bad for the Money) - This is an inexpensive CAD program for home exterior, landscape, and deck design. I found it fun and relatively easy to use. In just a few hours I had a reasonable model of my home and it's decks entered. The walk-through feature works well and is great for viewing the plan in 3D easily from any angle. The instant 3D view as you change items on the plan is very nice for getting things like roof lines, railings, and windows set up and placed correctly. Landscape design options are pretty limited, like the small number of plant and fence options, but adequate to get a rough view of how something might look. Overall, it does what one would expect from a $30 program and is useful if you aren't too picky about getting the result to look exactly like the finished product. I have in the past used a drafting table, drafting machine, and created a plan view that was almost professional looking thanks to a course I took by mail several years ago. My problem was that I did not have the drawing skills to create an elevation view, and I felt that was a vital missing skill. I had looked at several brands of software (CAD) that would give me the ability to create what my gardens should look like if I were standing looking at them. Some that were too simplified were not able to allow me to get the exact picture I wanted. Others that were even more expensive than this one were not as sophisticated in their look. I did not have the money or the inclination to spend thousands of dollars on programs that were probably meant for professionals. I am a master gardener and I get my satisfaction from designing for schools, retirement centers, and others who are looking for perennial gardens, bird, and butterfly gardens. I am a retired educator and only want to use the program to help me give back to my community. The way I can do this is to help them design a garden. I found this program relatively easy to understand as I first read it. The quick start guide and tutorial is excellent and touches on all that I need to get started. It also has a variety of plant material in the zone that I live in. This is something that I also looked for in the design software. I can also import photos of plants that are not listed in the Better Homes and Garden encyclopedia. This program also lets one know how many plants of a certain kind are needed in a certain area, and how they will look in 0 to 10 years. 5 stars (Invaluable Resource) - We recently purchased an old home with lots of "problems". I borrowed this book from my local library (along with Black & Decker's Home Improvement) and was amazed at how clear and detailed it was. I think the best part is how they use real photos of everything, and not sketches. There are well over 2000 photos. Within days, I was dealing with and solving basement issues, plumbing problems, electrical outlets, and many more things that I did not even thing of. The books helped so much that I decided to go ahead and purchase them here on Amazon. There are countless home improvement books out there and some rank better than others. From what I've seen, the Black & Decker series ranks at the top and are an invaluable resource. It literally pays for itself with all the money saving tips and instructions. Soft & rotten cores, broken fiberglass, chipping, etc. I liked it so much I just ordered his book on refinishing. 1 stars ( Sailboat Hull and Deck Repair ) - Good book with understandable illustrations and practical suggestions. 5 stars (Lots of details in a small package) - This is an excellent book for someone who knows nothing about fiberglass boat repair. It starts off with a brief discussion of the three major sealant types (polysulfide, polyurethane and silicone) and when to use each. Other sections cover the different types of resin, epoxy choices, etc. etc. Excellent information when trying to decide which of the gazillion products to purchase in the boating catalogs. Major sections include Leaks (finding and fixing, installing deck hardware), Restoring the Gloss (polishing and scratch repair), Deck Repairs (stress cracks, voids, nonskid surfaces, and teak decks), Laminate Repair (fiberglass layup, types of resins, epoxy), Core Problems (wet core, stiffening), Hull Repairs (gouges, blisters, impact damage), Keel and Rudder Damage (centerboard pivots, weeping keels, etc.) This little book is not afraid to tackle big projects--the Core Problems section for example shows the repair of a huge 2-foot diameter section of rotted core. The book makes it sound easy, but I'd rather not think about that much work. The section on gelcoat--what it is, how it is manufactured, and how to keep it looking good as long as possible--is by itself worth the price of the book. ...
