1 stars (False Ad!) - This book is not Hardcover as stated in the ad. The book is not for sale in the US and Canada and it is clearly marked on the cover. It's violating the Copyright Act. I gave it one star because there was anything lower than that. 5 stars (BEAUTIFUL BOOK) - THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE BOOK - IT WAS RIGHT IN TIME FOR CLASS! GREAT USED CONDITION - EXACTLY AS LISTED...THANKS AGAIN! A++++ 2 stars (This book will do more to confuse the student) - This book is so poorly organized that even the instructor who taught from it did not go through it sequential manner. Difficult subject matter is not covered in big picture to small detail way, but instead is spread through out the book with little or no information on WHY things in organic chemistry work they way they do, and then it is not even cohesively brought to a summary. There are not nearly enough mechanisms nor complicated synthesis. It does touch on retro synthetic analysis but then offers very little opportunity for the student to practice complicated and varied synthesis. The problems given at the end of the chapter are way to simplistic! It seems that this book tries to complicate Org much more than neccessary. ...

5 stars (Understanding the Power of SIx Sigma) - This book is an excellent guide for people who want to know, what is Six Sigma? The authors inform you that Six Sigma is more than a bunch of statistics in a production environment, but also a culture that can be applied to any organization. There is a section; however, that covers the statistical tools used by Six Sigma professionals. They provide important information on how to use the DMAIC model and what it can do for your organization. It covers the key points of implementing Six Sigma and how to measure processes by looking for the "vital few" variables". I highly recommend this book for anyone considering implementing Six Sigma or those who want to know more about this powerful culture. It is well written in terms that can be easily understood by all. 5 stars (Useful for Learners, Teachers & Leaders) - I work as a manager and Master Black Belt at a Fortune 100 company. This book has been very useful in my training of others. I just finished teaching a Six Sigma Black Belt course in which I referred students to this book to reinforce their learning and deepen their understanding. It has transformed the way I teach Six Sigma as well as the way my students learn it. Not only am I suggesting that BB's and BB's-in-training get this book, but I'm also recommending that leaders who have GB's and BB's on their staffs read this book. It gives enough information for leaders to understand what their Six Sigma staff are going through in the trenches. And it also provides leaders with enough education to ask meaningful questions. Life- The Science of Biology- 7th Edition Book Only

5 stars (I'm in Biology heaven) - Ah, the holy grail of textbooks: To find a textbook that is completely clear, explains all aspects of the subject, lets you understand rather than just memorize so you can think independently on the subject and actually enjoyable to read. Textbooks like those are incredibly rare and they are worth their weight in gold once you find them. Looks like we found one for biology. 2 stars (Poor Organization) - I decided to buy this book instead of borrowing from the library because of the pretty colorful pictures it has. However, I regret spending $100 on this book because the text is poorly orgnanized. Although some chapters are written well, you will see content are scrambled within some chapters making it hard to take notes. There are also errors like they mentioned that Th cell help cellular response, but they ever tell you how. The activation gate and inactivation gate mentioned in the neuron chapters are confusing. The mentioned it on the text, but they don't show it on the pictures. I need to admit that their animation, tutorial in their web site are awesome. Tales from the San Francisco 49ers Sideline

5 stars (Great Book by a Great Player and a Great Person!) - I had the opportunity to meet Roger Craig at a charity basketball game last fall and he seemed like a great guy. Being a lifelong 49er's fan, I was thrilled to find out that one of my favorite players of all time had a book coming out. It's a nice, light, and insightful read that can be done in one sitting but the stories and lessons that "Catfish" provides will stay with you for a long time. A definite must for any fan of the "Team of the 80's" and also an interesting read for any NFL fan. Thanks for all of the great memories Roger! 4 stars (An enjoyable cruise through the 49ers' glory days!) - Honestly, if everyone reading this review was a San Francisco football fan, I would have given the book five stars. But I have to be fair! This book is a very easy read, and you cannot help but admire Roger Craig to the nth degree. You can really tell what kind of a football warrior this guy was by reading how he trained, and how he played with pain. Reading some of his anecdotes about the glory years put a smile on my face, and would do the same for any Niner fan. The only criticism I have regarding this book is the lack of depth (people who like light and easy reads would probably not agree with my assessment here). I already knew many of the stories Craig wrote about, and the ones I didn't know about were not explained in great detail. The best part of the book was Craig describing the deterioration of his and Eddie DeBartolo's relationship following Craig's fumble in the 1990 NFC Championship game against the New York Giants. One thing Craig fails to mention was his decline in productivity over his last year with S.F. being the chief reason he was let go via Plan B Free Agency. Craig's positive outlook on life beams off the pages of " Tales from the San Francisco 49ers Sideline ". If I had ever played in the NFL, I would want the dedication, toughness, and skill of Roger Craig by my side. 5 sta...
