3 stars (it's an OK guide BUT ) - okay all the typos and grammatical errors got to me too. this book has a lot of good information BUT I too, found incorrect information. Cervantes also contradicts himself a lot because in his articles in high times grow magazine, he says things that are total opposites from the book. i prefer his articles to this book BUT it did have some information that i found helpful. there has to be better stuff out there though. 5 stars (The definitive indoor grow guide ) - In 1983 when I first became interested in the subject this book was the definitive indoor grow guide and it still is today and I like Mr. Cervantes style too instead of writing several books and you have too buy them all to find all the information you need he writes one complete book and updates it every few years with new stuff keep up the good work. 1 stars (Terrible) - This book reads like it was written by a 4th grader. I threw this in the garbage after the first few chapters. There is information in it that I know to be completely wrong, so how could I trust the rest of the information? The book gets basic facts wrong, things that are easily verifiable to anyone who has an Internet connection. The first part of the book, for some reason, gives you a short history on the Internet, but almost everything in that section is completely wrong. For example, the author says that the Internet was designed by the government to track your every click, and you can make yourself anonymous by getting a firewall and a hotmail account. Rediculous! Every paragraph has basic spelling and grammatical errors, making this book difficult to read. The author jumps around topics incoherently, and makes references to things that aren't fully explained. Save your money and get a better book. This one is a JOKE. ... 5 stars (Source: Greg Explains It All For You - Isn't That Fabulous?) - Greg Green is an excellent head, no question. He's at once big cannabis fan and informative, talkative without being drifty. The problem is that Greg Green is trying to talk to the misinformed grower. That means those who have not read Greg Green but grow, should read Greg Green at least once, and this is the book to read. He has lots to say. I read about growers, and met a few, not so long who admitted that even they do not understand a lot of what was written before this book about growing, claimed Ganja cultivation information vagueness and fortunately all that is cleared up in reading this book. As a consequence I guess of other literature Green gives you a good deal of information pointing out the nonsense peppered stuff with some really horrid misunderstandings and errors gone by unnoticed throughout the years, most of them inaccurate folk tales about the herb and how it grows, even repeated quite recently. If you ever hoped that a marijuana manuscript would be vetted by editors or someone with a solid science background, or better yet, collaborated with a scientist on the writing, the answer is this book. I can't really recommend any else for such a valid analysis of different ways to grow the plant. The reader interested in how to grow should start here and those who thought they new it all should take another look. It does not just present you with information, it puts everything together. Emphasis on 'everything'. 5 stars (If you love marijuana but hate buying it, this is for you) - I will admit it, converting my basement and part of the back garden into MY own pot grow never really appealed to me. So when I began some indoor plants for outdoors, I used this book for its principles and learned there is no reason why I should not be able to create a monster patch. I must admit you need room sized spaces to work with to get big crops even though I could have easily given away lots of ... 5 stars (Dungeon Siege: Legends of Aranna Expansion Pack) - This game rocks!!I cant beleive how huge it is.I have played this game for well over 60 hours and still have not completed it. 3 stars (Mediocre medieval masher) - This game was recommended to me by a friend. It's similar to Diablo II in nature, but I would say that it's a much better game. That being said, it's a pretty boring and unengaging piece of software. The game looks good. The controls are good. But... no story, no problem solving, no puzzles, and battles can almost happen without your input, they're so computer assisted. It almost does it all for you, especially since the spellcasting is basically useless aside from healing and summoning. I do like some features of the game like potion sorting, customizing character attack perameters, etc. I do think the game is quite beautifully rendered for the type of game that it is (diabloesque), but that eventually got tired and I ended up not finishing it. Replay value is non-existent here. Mediocre fare. 3 stars (disappointed) - Unfortunately this game is rated as working on the XP. The expansion does work on the XP. And is very good. The reason I don't rate the game higher is that the origional Dungeon Seige starts working, but then around the mid point it crashes. It replaces the screen with squares of green. Once they appear, nothing can be done. I E-mailed Microsoft and the developers and they insisted that I just had to erase the game from the computer and then reload the game onto the computer. It then crashed the same way. I gave up after three crashes. But as I say, the expansion does work and is quite fun. The main game is also fun until it crashes. ... 5 stars (A great gift for a hard core Terry Brooks fan!) - My husband loves this book. I bought it for him as a gift and he loves the look and feel of the book. I already knew he loved the stories! 5 stars (Terry Brooks is a Modern Tolkein) - If you love the writings of JRR Tolkein, Terry Brooks is the author for you. His descriptions paint a solid picture in your mind and you feel that the world being described to you actually exists. The writing style is rich with amazing descriptions and a well crafted story. The Sword of Shannara Trilogy is an excellent ongoing tale of a family cursed to be tragic heroes, whether they like it or not. The story is well written and the characters are very strong and well developed. By the end of each book, you feel that you really know these characters, even the mysterious ones. This is a definate necessity of every book collection! 5 stars (Edge of your seat...) - Terry Brooks is an amazing writer....to keep you going through all three books....it is great.... ... 4 stars (A Classic in Need of a New Edition) - I have a copy of the "Annapolis Book of Seamanship," 3rd edition dated 1999. I have the highest regard for John Rousmaniere and the great contribution this book makes to sailing. There is information in this book that is hard to find. The text is extremely well written, useful, and informative. However, as I write this review in 2005, I suspect most of us would find some of the photos and illustrations have a dated look and feel. If you compare the third edition of "Annapolis" to the current edition of "Chapman's", you will see that "Annapolis" looks dated. The increased use of color and the increased use of higher resolution photos would help better illustrate the knowledge that the author is trying to communicate. Some updates of the text would be of value, for example as related to electronics. Despite the areas for updating in the third edition, "Annapolis" is well worth the price for any sailor's library. 5 stars (It's all you need but the boat and water!) - I purchased this book feeling that Chapman's was the bible of boating. I expected the Annapolis Book of Seamanship to be a sail boat owners version of the same, covering much of the same ground with a slant toward the sailor. I now know that this is only half true! John Rousmaniere, who I have since had the honor of meeting, presents a no nonsense look at sailing and seamanship. He takes this sailing business very seriously and doesn't fudge on anything. His own sailing experience has taught him that sailing can be dangerous and that the sea or any large body of water is to be dealt with respectfully, safely and with a base of knowledge and preparedness. John knows his stuff and is unquestionably one of the country's most knowledgeable seamen. His words are like gold to every sailor. 5 stars (A "Must Have" for all Sailors) - When I started sailing my 27 foot sloop, I knew very little about sailing. I bought this book and used it to teac...
