4 stars ( ER made fun) - This game proved to be challenging and held my attention for hours on end. The possibilities are endless which adds to the challenge of the game. Would highly recommend for anyone who is a fan of ER , and this game will prove entertaining long after the duration of the television show. 4 stars (loved the game- its just not one of those indefinite ending games) - i absolutely loved this game. i am obsessed with the ER show and i really liked this game. Its not complicated at all, but definitely kept me not wanting to stop playing it. It is one of the games, though that is similiar to the csi/law and order series in that its only a set number of missions you can play, unlike the sims or rollercoastertycoon/etc. There are enough missions to keep you going for a while though and its really fun to try and become a good doctor and then get your own med students. you definitely should download the patch and the game works perfectly fine after that.(otherwise it gradually runs slower and slower). overall, i totally love this game. its challenging, but easy to learn and it kept me interesting and kept me wanting to get better as a doctor and earn the specialty personality traits. you can even form relationships with other doctors and kiss them and talk or you can just focus totally on getting your skills way up there. either way, if you love the show, youll love the game!! 3 stars (Fun, but waaaaay too short!) - I really enjoyed this game, but was stunned to find that the game ended after I had only been playing it for a couple of days (not straigt, in few hour increments) I agree with others in saying that this game was not what I thought it was going to be and was definitely not worth the money that I spent on it. If it kept on going and gave you the option to go past the intern level it would have been a lot better. I've played one game of this and won't play another..I just don't see how there would even really be more than one way t... 2 stars (The developers confused "family friendly" with "childlike") - I was addicted to Railroad Tycoon 2, but unfortunately it wouldn't play under my new operating system. I was thrilled to find RT3 and eagerly awaited its delivery. Unfortunately, RT3 has lost much of the complexity and the underhandedness that made RT2 so much fun. For example: - in RT2, only industries or resources inside your station's field of influence would be serviced by your trains. In RT3, each station has a vague, undefined "area of influence" that goes beyond the size of your station's shown field. Is that feedlot, grain farm, or mine close enough to your station so you don't have to build another closer station? Good luck figuring it out. - in RT2, one could designate different loads for cars in the same manifest. This can't be done now. This makes it very difficult to produce goods manufactured from more than one type of raw material. - the graphics are very comic-book like, and would more appeal to children around the age of three than they would adults. Very unattractive and simplistic. I would have even preferred a 2-D model with more sophistication. - the business models have been vastly oversimplified, and the AI companies are not one thousandth as cutthroat as in RT2. This is a bad thing. Historically, rail companies were not paragons of industry; for a historical sim to be realistic, it has to reflect the true conditions of the industry. The rail business in RT3 appears to have been emasculated, perhaps to appeal to young naive children, but it's lost much of its interest for adults. - creating new maps and new scenarios is much more complicated in RT3 than it was in RT2. - the weather is a useless, worthless feature that eats memory. Yes, you can turn it off, but it still takes up a lot of space in storage memory. I did not much enjoy RT3. It appears to have lost much of the detail that made RT2 so enjoyable (wasn't it great to finally get iron *and* coal, send one tr... 3 stars (Considerable Expansion Pack for Pet Lovers) - With this expansion pack installed, you will see some pets in your neighborhood. Once in several days, you'll meet not only street cats and dogs, but also some skunk! Having animals around is not always a good thing. You will have more things to do at home. Cleaning up their poo, bathing them, expense more on their food, etc. While keeping a pet at home could means more trouble, you'll have some advantages on them. If you have a dog, you can have your daily newspaper brought in your house by your dog. Or if you pet a cat, you'll see that cockroaches around the corner aren't there anymore (yes, your cat eat them up!). With this expansion pack installed, you will be able to pet a dog, cat, fish, bird, iguana, etc. When you buy a dog or cat, you can choose its colour and name it. You should buy toys and other tools for your pet. Of course you cannot make your cat sleep in a bird's cage. What is more, you'll see that your neighborhood is enlarged! You will have more lots to be built. Either as a house, or as a common place for you to visit (you can build shops, pets shop, etc) As I don't really like pets and I am disturbed by those wild animals around my house, I don't like this expansion pack very much. I would prefer buying another expansion pack for this game such as Superstar or Makin' Magic. 5 stars (please help) - i want get a sims game but my mom thinks its bad. what is there in the game and what certain age do you have to be? i hope you guys help me. if you do put your title as problem for help. thankyou thankyou thankyou thankyou thankyou thankyou thankyou bye :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) 5 stars (A great game overall) - This game is a lot more fun that the Deluxe Edition because you actually get to go out of the house and to shop. You can buy pets and meet new people at the shops. You also get to create new stores, like pet stores, dog and cat adoption centers, gardening shops, food shops. The neighborhoods ... 5 stars (Q&A) - i love sims and right now im going to answer all your sim quations! Q:is sims deluxe fun? A:yes it totally is because you get to control someones life and have so many options.like who to date or what to wear or go on a vacation and get married or have kids and flirt and make friends and enemies! Q:is sim deluxe worth the money? A:yah it is because you need an original sim to work an expantion and with this deluxe you have the original sim and 2 expantions to play with. Q:what age is it for? A:this game is for any age who wants to try out sims. it has nothing bad or sexuall just kisses and if their is something sexuall they wont show it! RELAX its for kids too and for adults. Q:are the graphics good? A:the graphics are not great but i dont care and when you play it youll see that there not bad but there not great either! hope i helped and have a great life! :-) 5 stars (better than the gamecube version) - this game is awsome and its exatly like having a totally new life! the controls are easy and building the houses is fun and easy too. so mostly all is left is to have fun with cool features! i love it because right after you install the deluxe you can start on the expantions witch are best part of this pack. dont worry about the t rating its totally safe because mostly kids play and daydream about a boyfriend and to have popular friends and wear whatever they want! cool game and better than the gamecube because the gamecube sims is so hard to control and so hard to figure out! i am a gamecube fan but they should not make a sims game for it. this one rocks and the price is great but i got a long time ago so i got for 40 dollars flat! get it now and start livin'!!!!! 4 stars (The Sims) - I recently played the sims and loved it! 4 stars (Better than expected and personable!!!) - I am a big WWII air combat fan playing such games as IL2 Forgotten Battles, Pacific Fighters ect..... which I still think is the best WWII flight combat sims to date and until (Battle of Britain 2 Wings of Victory) when it comes out if it ever does, will most likely change that! That said, I am not much into jet era combat. Why? It is very impersonable.........modern air combat is boring to me! You have advanced technology so you can detect your enemy before you even see him visually and lanch a heat seeking missle at him miles away to blow him out of the sky. Keep in mind, I have played Lock-On, Falcon 4.0 Allied Force which to me are boring and dull jet era flight sims. Sure you have the best jet sims out there on the market but what fun is a dog fight when you can't see your enemy? We'll my friends the Vietnam era was still as personable as WWII was. The heat seeking missles and rader technology was in it's infency and that meant you still had to interact visually with the enemy not lanch a missle to hit a target on the ground or in the sky miles out of your visual range! It was the last era for this type of "old fashion" combat so I picked up the sim and gave her a try! I first hated it I admit because of the learning curve (there is a learning curve depite what another reviewer stated) so naturally I had to be very patient which is not my forte! I even uninstalled WOV for a half a year (I have had this game from the first release date!) and just recently gave her another try. Now that I have more experance with other flight sims like IL2 series and Lock-On I eased into the curve and now have became more of an adverage player than just a impatient newbe! Graphics are not that great as some of the other newer flight sims out there except for the plane detail which is what counts overall, but that's not why I play this game for anyway. So, listen to the other reviewers and give this game a try if you are a hist... 3 stars (Looks fun but it's not.) - The controls are really frigid and it's not very fun. It's so realistic that it's boring. The game will let you fly in virtual reality for hours before reaching a target just as a real fighter pilot would have done except there is a warp feature which will cut the time down. You will still run out of fuel lots of times before you figure out what speeds are appropriate. It's a very complicated game and is not really very fun. There must be better flight simulation games than this. I gave it a 1 on the fun scale, but overall it's a well designed game and is the most realistic I've ever played. If the graphics were better I would have rated it as a 4 overall. 4 stars (Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 3) - First of all I would like all those concerned to know that this game runs perfectly on WINDOWS XP!! 1.( Selective Startup)2.(Shuting down your Firewalls and Antivirus)3.(Disk cleanup Disk Defrag.)You have to educate yourself on all the little tricks that help the game run. Also don't foget to install any patches that are available for the game, they make a world of difference. You can't just put the game in without the proper preparation and expect it to run flawlessly. My computer,Windows XP Home Edition,Dimension 3000,Pentium 4,(3GHZ),512MB DDR SDRAM at 400MHZ,80GB Hard Drive, Intel video driver 82865G.Nothing Special!!!!! The game is GREAT and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!! 1 stars (Stiffed) - Don't buy it. We own a new Sony VAIO with a 2 Gig processor and 500 Gig hard drive, and the game won't run. Tried all the MS online fixes and recommendations...and the opening video plays...and the screen locks. I also own FS 2000 and Combat FS on this machine...which both work fine. The MS online help is available for a price that equals the cost of the game. Look, I'm probably commiting Operator Error and I'm not aware of the fix. So be it. After two days of this nonsens... 5 stars (gooses review) - Anyone who buys this game will learn 2 things 1. the average american can become the dictator of his or her own carribean island and 2. outsourcing american jobs is a good thing (for el presedente). This game can provide hours of entertainment for those who like city simulations. This game is also a fair representation to dictators like sudam huesien or fiedel castro in that the only motives you have to be cruel in this game are to make money for your swiss bank account, to hold onto power, or to get stuff you want done faster. My favorite activity is loading up the jails with people who don't respect me and then sending them to florida on little rafts to get rid of them. Burning all the books on the island also prooves useful when some of the people get to the point where they think their smarter than you. This is another good game for people with old computers 5 stars (Business Sim and RPG Combined) - This classic game combines the best elements of RPG play with a great business sim. 2 stars (Eh.) - Sure, the graphics are good, if you can get them loaded in a timely manner. And yeah it's neat how you can customize some more, but as you try to adjust the facial features, etc. it distorts the image even moe so you really don't know what the final result will be. And having to control everything and I do mean EVERYTHING in the game is annoying. I fine to work for goals and things like that, that was part of the fun for me with The Sims, but you're basically running the software yourself and it takes away fromt he gaming experience. Give it a shot if you want, but if I had known this stuff from the beginning I would have saved my money. 4 stars (Most addictive Game Ever!) - I never played the original Sims game. In fact, I'm normally an action or role playing game player, but something about this game from the time I first saw it advertised captured me and nagged at the back of my mind until I finally bought it earlier this year. I'm still hooked on it and its expansion packs. Though I still play the other genres, I find I still absolutely have to make time for this one. The initial objects and clothing items are limited, but the customization abilities of the game more than make up for that! There's plenty of skilled people out there who put their work on the web for download, some of it for free. I like the sims resource site, myself. Finding modest clothing, particularly modest swimwear for female sims can be a challenge, though again, the customization abilities of the game are such that even I, someone with no artistic talent, was able to create some custom clothing to get around that. Some people have criticized this game for the ability to turn off the blurring of sims who are not clothed (taking shower, etc.) As I understand it, you have to download and activate a cheat to do so. I have not done so since that blurring doesn't bother me. There is one glitch in the game that I've found related to this though. There have been times w... 5 stars (Best original Sim game!) - If you've never experienced a Sim game, this is the place to start! Original and clever it will always be considered a classic! 4 stars (A good game!) - In the Sims Deluxe I liked it better and worse than the regular sims. I liked it better because there were more interesting things to buy and do. I liked it worse because it wasn't as easy as the sims. For example, in THE SIMS I made a boyfriend who was a negative to my sign of the zodiac. But now I have so many things to do. I do recommend this though ;) 1 stars (Dont waste your money) - First, Let me say, the reason I gave this a 1 star rating isnt the game itself, I havent gotten to play it yet! Not from this disc. I ordered it brand new, it was delivered, I unwrapped it, and tried to install it. The serial # EA GAMES printed on it (which you have to have to install it on your computer), is invalid!!!! And, I cant get an answer from their tech support/customer service on this. I have found others who have bought this version with the exact same problem. If you can get this in a jewel case, good. It seems when they come in the case shown on this page, the serial #'s wont work, and you have to go through a huge hassel to get it fixed. ***This is not an amazon problem, it is an EA GAMES problem ... 4 stars (As Fun As in Harry Potter) - I read and watched Harry Potter series. One day this expansion pack is available on the game shop. I bought this expansion pack and installed it. It is just as fun as I tought before! I can learn spells, cast it to objects or even myself. :D I can go to secret shops in a Mystery Town and buy odd ingredients needed in my mixture. When I have time, I went to the Mystery Town via special hole in my backyard and I played some games there. I can also meet other wizards and have some battles with them. New clothes, furnitures, objects, and some other stuff are included in this expansion pack, making it possible for me to create my own Castile. :D I use stonewall wallpaper to wrap all my walls, plant some old-abandoned-well and dead oak tree, use antigue doors and windows, and select 'magic and ancient' furnitures instead the ordinary. I just love it! XD 5 stars (Pack Your bags we're goin to hogwarts !! sort of?) - The Sims Makin Magic is a fun game but also the sad reminder that there is no longer going to be the sims 1 anymore byt be happy there is the sims 2 to the rescue!!! I have to be honest i really dont have this game but i have seen the screen shots and thought wow we have got to write a review hey i need to know if i write good reviews so please read all of mine they all are on the sims and plz i need help with finding the right wedding present !!!! Thanks dont forget to rate my reviews!!!!!! Any ideas to the present????? 3 stars (Not the best Sims expansion...) - I found magic to be very inconvenient and expensive to use. As in all other Sim games, it is hard to keep your Sim happy for more than a few days, and also make enough money to live off of. 1 stars (3D isn't always better) - This game is supposed to be the "improved" version of Pharaoah, which was a terriffic game IMHO, but was a flat, two dimensional plane game. I hate how they're taking these games (like Roller Coaster Tycoon) and making them three dimensional when the three dimensionality only makes it more difficult to maneuver across the terrain. For this game, I couldn't play it that long because the game designers went for realism over function in creating the buildings with the result that every building looks the same, so you forget what is what, not to mention that everything looks bland overall. 2 stars (Great concept - poor execution) - Children of the Nile is a completely new genre of citybuilder game where each 'character' is controlled by an AI and for this alone the developers deserve much credit. The premise holds much promise, unfortunately that promise is unrealized in this game. Other reviews have mentioned the high system requirements and this will be an issue if your system is not at the higher end of the recommendations. The citybuilding aspect of the game itself is very nice and well conceived. The economy is well thought out and sufficiently intricate and can be interesting and fun. The towns that can be built offer great variety due to terrain and resource availability differences among the scenarios. Growth of the city, however, eventually depends on interaction with the rest of the world... Where the game fails in my opinion is on what they call the 'World Level'. This is where all interaction with the rest of the world occurs. It seems to be an afterthought tacked on rather than something that was planned from the inception. Every 'World Level' interaction requires the player to save up certain amounts of specified goods to send out expeditions to these sites. Unhappily, the same sites appear in scenario after scenario (only the amounts of goods required to explore them ever seems to change). Saving up these goods can o...
