4 stars (Warning!!! Only read if you want better health, longer limbs etc) - This is a good read. I didn't give it it's fifth star because not all information is new, however it's written in an easy to follow way and if you begin it right away, the results will happen right away. The effects were amazing and you'll notice a difference fast. This is the perfect addition to any exercise collection whether it be in books or dvds. Buy this and begin immediately. You won't be sorry. 5 stars (Self Health for Procrastinators) - Wow no more excuses! This book is so well laid out that even the most resistant amongst us can master this. The results are the hook. The immediate difference is felt and there is a seduction to the exercises that made me keep turning the page.Great mood, great muscles, here I come. Good Morning America show gave too little time to Bob Cooley and stretchers because the book deserves more attention -the best selfhelp tools I've ever read or experienced.Many thanks to Bob's genuis I can own mine. 1 stars (The generosity of Genius) - Through incredibly diligent perseverance over many years. Thanks 5 stars (Simplistic & Thorough) - Great book, A lot of information, exactly what I was looking for: a picture book which describes which stretches apply to certain sports & focuses. 5 stars (Classic) - This book has been offering people stretches forever!So many to choose from and the reader is able to hit every major muscle group in thier body. Easy to follow and useful for all fitness levels. Sports related stretches for all types of events so you will never get bored. Also recommend The Backsmart Fitness Plan by Dr.Adam Weiss- great stretches, dumbbell workouts for a full body workout, I combined these two books for great results. ... 5 stars (Excellent book) - Ultimate flexibility is an excellent book for those who practice the martial arts, regardless of their current flexibility level. It's even great for those who don't. My wife (who doesn't practice martial arts) joins me for flexibility exercises and enjoys the workout quite a bit. The book is divided to 3 main categories. The first chapters deal with the scientific background. What are the mechanisms behind flexibility; what can be improved; what are the limitations; and what are the potential hazards for the un-educated, practicing flexibility. It details the major muscle groups and explains the benefit of having each flexible. It has good suggestions in terms of keeping workout logs and setting goals. The second part has actual flexibility exercises, all clearly explained along with a photo for each. Some exercises are presented with a few alternatives-- easier versions and harder versions. The third and last part suggests flexibility workouts. That is, what a workout should include depending on your background and goals. Ultimate Flexibility has helped my flexibility tremendously. It's educational, clear and concise and most importantly, motivating. I now look forward for some time off so I can go out and practice some flexibility.
