5 stars (funny and intelligent- it hurts!!) - This is one of the funnier books I have read in a long time. My family kept coming in the room to see what I was laughing at. Someone gave me this book when I was really ill and the laughter was sorely needed. It served it's purpose. Even to the religious, I imagine it would be hard not to laugh. If you can't laugh at yourself... especially when someone is so intelligently poking fun at you? Then it's just a shame- because this book is too funny to be missed... it has been circulated through my family and friends and everyone has had a good laugh! 5 stars (Biff is THE MAN) - I laughed out loud until it hurt - and it felt great. I would never have left xtianity if the followers I encountered were full of the good humor Biff displays. For all of the laughs, there are also insights to be gainned here as to how to answer the obnoxiouly overused question of WWJD? 4 stars (Laugh out loud, wet your pants funny!!) - If you want to read a book that will make you laugh until you cry, read 'Lamb'. This the book that will make you laugh so hard, that others around you will think your crazy. The subject matter is irreverant, but meant in fun. I really don't think anyone would be offended. Biff, is the loveable idiot friend of Jesus. And what an idiot he is! I love that guy. ...

After the Affair- Healing the Pain and Rebuilding Trust When a Partner Has Been Unfaithful

4 stars (Rebuilding) - The one good thing I found in this book is the expression of real rage and the range of emotions that are most often felt when the "faithful" one has been betrayed by the "unfaithful" one. I found the book does bring some vlauable insight for the 'unfaithful' to understand the emotions that the 'faithful' does go through. If you are looking to rebuild and restore your life, I recommend the insight this book gives, along with another one called 'Stop Being the String Along' by Barbara Rose which has provided me with life changing answers. Give both books a look, as you will find enlightening answers. 5 stars (After the Affair) - This was a very well written book and very helpful for all kinds of marital problems. 4 stars (My review of After . . .) - AFTER THE AFFAIR is a must read if you are struggling in the aftermath of an affair. It provides such a great insight on why things happen and really challenges to explore your heart and feelings. Another great thing about it is that it does not place outright blame on one party or another, looks at both spouses perspectives of the situation and gives the necessary tools to start rebuilding. Things that other people, family, therapists, etc. may have told you a hundred times but never really made sense become clear with reading this book. It has helped me very much so far and my friends are now reading it as well. Other books I recently read and enjoyed were: THE LOVELY BONES, LUCKY, and THE CHILDREN'S CORNER by Jackson McCrae. ...

Blanchard known for The One Minute Manager and other best selling management books is a golf fanatic and founded the Golf University, located at the Rancho Bernardo Inn in San Diego, based on these concepts. Touching the Void- The True Story of One Man-s Miraculous Survival

5 stars (GREAT READ!) - If you like the DVD version you will like this book. It follows very close. Great pictures and maps! A must read. 5 stars (Completely Awestruck) - It never ceases to amaze me how much strength we human beings possess in a time a crisis be it major or minor. Joe Simpson and Simon Yates are two of the finest examples. To live to tell the tale of that horrific experience is quite a coup. This book is truthful, accurate as well as compelling and heart shattering. Even though my survival of having been kidnapped in Moscow in 1992 just after the fall of Communism is not the same breed of survival, I can only say that I feel for these two brave men. -Yvonne Bornstein, Author, Eleven Days Of Hell 4 stars (An amazing tale of courage and endurance!) - Touching the Void will take you on an incredible journey with the author as he struggles to overcome a disasterous accident in the Peruvian Andes. From when he arrives in the area and begins with day hikes to the accident and through to the end, the author paints such a realistic picture that it easy to imagine yourself there. That makes this a hard book to put down. ...
