5 stars (great update) - The improvemnet from the first cs is very good, for one it loads faster, and that in itself is worth the money to upgrade. i havent yet explored the other new features, but I trust adobe. 5 stars (Use only for stand alone PSCS upgrade) - If you use Adobe Creative Suite CS, this is not the upgrade for you. You will need to purchase an entire Suite upgrade. You cannot upgrade only the Photoshop CS application within the Suite. But, Photoshop is a fantastic program that works more smoothly than the operating system underwhich it works. With a couple of plugins from Photokit, it is the best thing for a digital photographer who wants to make dramatic, beautiful prints. 3 stars (Caution to Creative Suite CS users trying PhotoshopCS2 upgrade) - I already know the fabulous new features of Photoshop CS2. I have Creative Suite CS Premium. I purchased this upgrade for Photoshop to gain the new features. After several attempts in trying to install this software, I called Adobe, only to learn that this Photoshop CS2 upgrade does NOT work with the full version of Creative Suite CS....period !!! No where on their packaging is there such a caution. It says it is compatable with all versions of Photoshop. Funny...I have Photoshop CS in my Creative Suite Premium package...but guess what??....so what....it don't work !!!! I've waisted $140.00, and am not gonna spend $744.00 for Creative Suite CS2 Upgrade !!!!!! ...

Humorous Greeting Card Factory

1 stars (disappointed) - This program is not user friendly and the cards are not really that funny. 5 stars (great for a laugh) - This program is great! I have an american greeting software that doesn't even come close to this program! I made a humorous card for for my mother that she absolutely LOVED it (getting a smile out of mom's face is a task) The only issue I had was i recieved an error while trying to download it to my system. I called tech support, and was up and running in 5 min. Magix Music Maker 10 Deluxe

4 stars (Big Improvement Over MM2005 Deluxe, But Still Not Perfect) - I have been using Magix Music Maker since version 7, and have seen it progress in terms of stability and features. This version is the most capable and stable yet, although it is not without problems. To summarize the functionality of this application, it is a clone of Sony's Acid program. It is a loop sequencer with which you can quickly put together loop-based musical compositions. Included is a set of loops of varying styles to get you off the ground quickly, as well as a series of virtual synthesizers to create your own sounds. For the price, you get a lot right out of the box. Central to the program is the main sequencer, which is simply a specialized grid onto which you can drag and drop your loops and synthesizer tracks. There is the ability to individually manipulate track data by varying volume and adding fade in/out effects, as well as a rather extensive collection of special effects for creating 3D effects in your audio. There is also an integrated effects rack for tweaking and "fiddling" to get the sound just right. The synthesizers that are included are varied in nature and include a beat box, a drum machine, a "virtual drummer", copper, silver, classical guitar, a grand piano, an ambient sound generator, and a couple of others. While these are all useful, I have found that one cannot generate the "right sound" in every situation. Particularly limited is the new "LiViD" synth (Little Virtual Drummer) which seems to be just a loop-based drum generator with prerecorded tracks that allows you to tweak the drum tracks in a few interesting ways. While the built-in synthesizers may leave you wanting a little more, there is a VSTi host for integrating other synthesizers that are downloadable from the net to allow you a wider range of unique sounds. Falling in line with the others,this version producing great cards for all your family and friends to enjoy. 1 stars (Hallmark Card Studio) - I wrote upon returning the product that both Hallmark and Amazon should be ashamed to send such a poor product. The colors on the card were not good and the software was so faulty. It would print the sayings on top of each other, not centered. I had an earlier product from Microsoft that had beautiful cards and selections that I used for many years but got outdated and would not install. 1 stars (No PDF function - advertising on box is false) - This product states in several places on the box that you can save and/or e-mail calendar files in PDF format. This is a false statement. The PDF file functions are only found in the more expensive "Deluxe" version. We called the manufacturer's customer support number and, after a lengthy wait, a support tech confirmed the only the deluxe version could do PDF files. He did not seem surprised to learn that the standard 2005 version box claimed to have that function included. This is blatent false advertising. DO NOT BE MISLED! 1 stars (The Absolute Worst) - I've never spent so much wasted time trying to get a program to do what I want it to. This is the most rediculous, convoluted way to create a simple calendar, using your own photos in your own chosen order, that I've ever seen in my life. Calendar Creator 4 was simple and straight forward, it just didn't add your photos. Finally I've upgraded and luckily I found a rebate that made this p.o.s. software free. If you want to make calendars with THEIR pictures, maybe you'll like this. There's got to be a better way... ...

5 stars (It Has Everything) - This has more clip art then I will ever need! 14, I repeat, 14 CD's full of clip art. It has vector and raster images, web graphics, high res photos, and backgrounds. The variety of clip art is amazing. I will highly recommend this clip art to anyone in need of high quality clip art!!!! 2 stars (comic book illustrations) - drawn by a 5-year old. I'm sorry, most of the vector and raster illustrations contained here are of very poor quality in my opinion. And, like some of the other reviews, I was not impressed w/ the photographs. Looks like someones bad vacation photos in spots, I counted 8 out of focus exposures of what looks like a hawk or something at great distance. Who got paid for that junk? I will keep it, but only because of the classic illustrations on a couple of the discs, and the fact I got a rebate. 2 stars (Don't Buy it for the Photo Images) - I have been searching everywhere for a product featuring professional, diverse photos. Where have they all gone? I am returning this product because I have no use for clipart and the photos are clearly pulled from somebody's old photo albums. They are no where near the professional quality shown on the box. Many photos are dark or horribly formatted and/or just plain cheesy. However, I am very impressed by Nova's "No Questions Asked Money Back Guarantee." Hooray for that! ...

2 stars (Transparency Problem) - This product is very nice when it works. However, I'm having the same problem as the reviewer below me. When I attempt to export the image - either by saving, draging or copying, Hemera places a transparency over the object, making the product worthless. I gave it two stars because, for the two months it worked, it worked well, however, now, it won't work at all. And as the other reviewer stated, support is nearly non-existant. 1 stars (Can't use this program) - This product offers much to chose from and I really liked the photos. However, I have yet to get this program to work right. I am able to view the photos but when I go into the the Export Wizard to save the photos, the photo has a transparency over the top of it, instead of in the background. I tried bypassing the Export Wizard by right clicking on the selected photo and saving. This also inserts the transparency over the photo. I called Hemera in Canada and they instructed me to call Encore USA in CA for support. Encore USA said they couldn't help me. Encore's technical support is "limited to crashes, error messages and lockups". I also referred to their website hoping to find help in the knowledge base or FAQ's. There was VERY little about this software and no help to be found. I wasted my money on a product I can't use and that offers no support for issues out of my control. 4 stars (Best value Hemera offers, but a few cautions) - First, if you're thinking about using these photos for print, you may wish to think again. Most objects run between 300-600 pixels in width or height, or 1-2 inches at 300 DPI. Stretch them bigger than that, and they'll start to blur and/or get jagged. Also note, that if you try to export/save an image from the Hemera Image browser and select the 300 DPI setting, the browser may stretch the graphic larger than it's actual size, causing blurring and jaggedness right out of the gate. 5 stars (Slick, Extraordinary!) - I downloaded the trial version from the company's website and decided to buy the full version straight away. The interface is different than standard Windows applications', but is clean-cut. I have no diffculty to build several testing albums following the simple steps dispalyed in the first starting page: select photos > select music > select style > change settings > build (save). I also figured out how to edit the saved albums in the My Album list. This is the most inspiring slideshow software I've ever seen. The result is definitely extraordinary. I've been able to create a wedding video using the 3D-Album animation (there are many adds-on for weddings) for the introduction part and the conclution credit at the end. I also created a photo slideshow displayed in a wedding reception. The pastor told me that he's been in many many weddings but this is the best show he's ever seen. A good value for your money. 1 stars (Terrible- Do NOT buy it) - I downloaded a demo version and made a few slideshows. First, it is very difficult to make simple changes. Not a typical interface software for performing simple functions that a normal program would have. There is no bottom for saving, nore a bottom to start new. You have to open a new sub-directory to retrieve pictures to start a new slideshow. And if you delete a set of pictures on the working directory, it actually deletes them from the actual subdirectory. You may have to get back to retrieve them from your recyle ben. It took me a whole day to figure out how to change simple funtions since it really has a bad menu system. The slideshow runs so slow, can't find a place to speed up the show. THey need a 24 online support system since there is no place to find an answer. There is no "find buttom" for the help menu for where or how to change the speed. Paint Shop Photo Album 5 Deluxe Old Version

2 stars (Non-Existent technical support) - I replaced my computer and reinstalled PSPA5 deluxe which I'd bought from Amazon last year. I received several error messages during the installation but the program worked. I tried to install the downloaded upgrade but got an error message that my version was not valid. Corel recently bought Jasc so I went to their site and, rather than pay per incident for tech support, I described the problem and asked for help which was free and promised the next business day. After two weeks with no reply. I sent them another e-mail and waited another week with no reply. I then sent them a fax, on the belief that my ISP might be blocking their reply, and asked for a faxed response or snail mail help. NOTHING! Spending real money for PSPA 5 apparently buys you a decent program and being totally ignored by Jasc's new owners, Corel. I gave the program a low rating because I believe that prompt e-mail support is an essential part of the cost of the program. I uninstalled PSPA 5 and will buy nothing new from JASC/COREL. Picasa 2 from Google works well and is free. 3 stars (Decent but could be so much better with attention to details) - Some of the other reviewers have here have spelled out where the program works well so you can consider this the CONS review. 1. The biggest complaint is speed. Opening, editing and building thumbnails are all agonizingly slow. My pictures are stored on a server in my home so there is some understandable delay. But I also use Paint Shop Pro 6 (PSP6) which builds thumbnails faster that I can see them and opens and edits pictures far faster. My wife gets so frustrated with PSPA5s slow speed that she ends up opening and editing in PSP6 and then I loose all EXIF data. Last night added a new folder of about 45 images and it took at least 3 minutes to build all the thumbnails. 2. The next thing is opening folders. PSPA5 calls folders albums. Wizcom InfoScan IS1000 Pen Scanner

4 stars (Works as billed) - Before I bought this pen I looked at most of the reviews for other hand held scanners on the market. It seems to be the case that either they works or they don't. In my case it seems to work perfect. Well perfect as in about 5 mistakes in about a hundred words, in other words abouth 1 in 20. This actually isn't as bad as it seems and perhaps I expected the worst but I find this quite tolerable and readable. In addition if the reviews I read are correct, there is a slight learning curve so hopefully it will get better. I haven't had a lot of time to play with the software but is seems to work pretty seamlessly in a Win XP box with SP 2 installed. Install the software, plug in the USB cable, plug in the pen and voila it works (actually it didn't work the first time but it turned out that I hadn't pushed the pen side plug in fully, it should click) Overall it works as billed and for $90-$25 rebate = $65 its a bargain in comparison to the c-pens which start at $165 !! The trick now is actually using it. If your interested here is a scan of a paragraph. Its about my third try.
