5 stars (great update) - The improvemnet from the first cs is very good, for one it loads faster, and that in itself is worth the money to upgrade. i havent yet explored the other new features, but I trust adobe. 5 stars (Use only for stand alone PSCS upgrade) - If you use Adobe Creative Suite CS, this is not the upgrade for you. You will need to purchase an entire Suite upgrade. You cannot upgrade only the Photoshop CS application within the Suite. But, Photoshop is a fantastic program that works more smoothly than the operating system underwhich it works. With a couple of plugins from Photokit, it is the best thing for a digital photographer who wants to make dramatic, beautiful prints. 3 stars (Caution to Creative Suite CS users trying PhotoshopCS2 upgrade) - I already know the fabulous new features of Photoshop CS2. I have Creative Suite CS Premium. I purchased this upgrade for Photoshop to gain the new features. After several attempts in trying to install this software, I called Adobe, only to learn that this Photoshop CS2 upgrade does NOT work with the full version of Creative Suite CS....period !!! No where on their packaging is there such a caution. It says it is compatable with all versions of Photoshop. Funny...I have Photoshop CS in my Creative Suite Premium package...but guess what??....so what....it don't work !!!! Humorous Greeting Card Factory

1 stars (disappointed) - This program is not user friendly and the cards are not really that funny. 5 stars (great for a laugh) - This program is great! I have an american greeting software that doesn't even come close to this program! I made a humorous card for for my mother that she absolutely LOVED it (getting a smile out of mom's face is a task) The only issue I had was i recieved an error while trying to download it to my system. I called tech support, and was up and running in 5 min. Magix Music Maker 10 Deluxe

4 stars (Big Improvement Over MM2005 Deluxe, But Still Not Perfect) - I have been using Magix Music Maker since version 7, and have seen it progress in terms of stability and features. This version is the most capable and stable yet, although it is not without problems. To summarize the functionality of this application, it is a clone of Sony's Acid program. It is a loop sequencer with which you can quickly put together loop-based musical compositions. Included is a set of loops of varying styles to get you off the ground quickly, as well as a series of virtual synthesizers to create your own sounds. For the price, you get a lot right out of the box. Central to the program is the main sequencer, which is simply a specialized grid onto which you can drag and drop your loops and synthesizer tracks. There is the ability to individually manipulate track data by varying volume and adding fade in/out effects, as well as a rather extensive collection of special effects for creating 3D effects in your audio. There is also an integrated effects rack for tweaking and "fiddling" to get the sound just right. The synthesizers that are included are varied in nature and include a beat box, a drum machine, a "virtual drummer", copper, silver, classical guitar, a grand piano, an ambient sound generator, and a couple of others. While these are all useful, I have found that one cannot generate the "right sound" in every situation. Particularly limited is the new "LiViD" synth (Little Virtual Drummer) which seems to be just a loop-based drum generator with prerecorded tracks that allows you to tweak the drum tracks in a few interesting ways. While the built-in synthesizers may leave you wanting a little more, there is a VSTi host for integrating other synthesizers that are downloadable from the net to allow you a wider range of unique sounds. 5 stars (Another Quality Hallmark Program) - I have had Hallmark software for 4 years running now. Falling in line with the others,this version producing great cards for all your family and friends to enjoy. 1 stars (Hallmark Card Studio) - I wrote upon returning the product that both Hallmark and Amazon should be ashamed to send such a poor product. The colors on the card were not good and the software was so faulty. It would print the sayings on top of each other, not centered. I had an earlier product from Microsoft that had beautiful cards and selections that I used for many years but got outdated and would not install. 1 stars (No PDF function - advertising on box is false) - This product states in several places on the box that you can save and/or e-mail calendar files in PDF format. This is a false statement. The PDF file functions are only found in the more expensive "Deluxe" version. We called the manufacturer's customer support number and, after a lengthy wait, a support tech confirmed the only the deluxe version could do PDF files. He did not seem surprised to learn that the standard 2005 version box claimed to have that function included. This is blatent false advertising. DO NOT BE MISLED! 1 stars (The Absolute Worst) - I've never spent so much wasted time trying to get a program to do what I want it to. This is the most rediculous, convoluted way to create a simple calendar, using your own photos in your own chosen order, that I've ever seen in my life. Calendar Creator 4 was simple and straight forward, it just didn't add your photos. Finally I've upgraded and luckily I found a rebate that made this p.o.s. software free. If you want to make calendars with THEIR pictures, maybe you'll like this. There's got to be a better way... ...

5 stars (It Has Everything) - This has more clip art then I will ever need! 14, I repeat, 14 CD's full of clip art. It has vector and raster images, web graphics, high res photos, and backgrounds. The variety of clip art is amazing. I will highly recommend this clip art to anyone in need of high quality clip art!!!! 2 stars (comic book illustrations) - drawn by a 5-year old. I'm sorry, most of the vector and raster illustrations contained here are of very poor quality in my opinion. And, like some of the other reviews, I was not impressed w/ the photographs. Looks like someones bad vacation photos in spots, I counted 8 out of focus exposures of what looks like a hawk or something at great distance. Who got paid for that junk? I will keep it, but only because of the classic illustrations on a couple of the discs, and the fact I got a rebate. 2 stars (Don't Buy it for the Photo Images) - I have been searching everywhere for a product featuring professional, diverse photos. Where have they all gone? I am returning this product because I have no use for clipart and the photos are clearly pulled from somebody's old photo albums. They are no where near the professional quality shown on the box. Many photos are dark or horribly formatted and/or just plain cheesy. However, I am very impressed by Nova's "No Questions Asked Money Back Guarantee." Hooray for that! ...

3 stars (My .02) - Many software publishers allow free "trial" downloads of the product. If you didn't have enough sense to try-before-you-buy, then don't complain when your expectations aren't met. Besides, you rarely get free support on a $40 title, so stop whining. I'm going to download this and try it. If I like it, I'll buy and then add another review. 1 stars (Bad Software) - I bought this and got Amazon's usual good service. That's the good news. This software is lousy! The design objects don't even include common things like bath vanities. They must want you to use a kitchen base cabinet but the depth and height are wrong and you can't change either. 1 stars (lame program) - I had none of the reported loading problems [I run XP], my complaint is about the artwork and design programs.[1]There is no command to layer - "bring to front" or "send to back" - so you have to put things on your project in order [that is,if you decide that your text would look better on a colored background you have to start over]. [2] The supplied art work is the very poorest kind of clip art - just plain crappy looking - and hard to sort through. Why go to all the bother of making projects on the computer if they end up looking like they were made by a none-too-talented third-grader? 2 stars ((2.5) User-friendly but with a caveat) - This is the most cost-effective, user friendly program I have found for designing quick logos, letterheads and brochures, this latest version made more accessible because the extra disks are compacted into one. The program offers a great variety of images on every subject, with more available online (for an additional price). However, the greatest complaint is still unanswered...there is virtually no online help available when contacting Broderbund. If a program isn't backed up by online help, the user must consider this when buying the program in the first place. Of course, when I purchased The Printshop from a discount store, I had no idea of the difficulty in using online resources. On the other hand, the program is quite simple and self-explanatory, so there is little need for extra support. There is an advanced drawing feature that I would like to learn, but the program help does little to guide me through the steps and I cannot navigate anything without some specific direction. Program designers don't seem to be aware of such elementary design flaws, assuming a base knowledge which may not exist. I bought a simple program because of my limited knowledge, expecting a certain degree of guidance through the basics. Broderbund's Printshop offers this assistance, but only to a very limited degree. 4 stars (Extensis Photo Imaging Suite) - Pros: Great bundle, solid, friendly interface. Cons: Missing Portfolio Manual, Big ticket price. If you have virtually any experience in digital imaging, and have not heard the name "Extensis" mentioned in some form or another, then I suspect you have been hiding in a spider cave somewhere in the desert. I have personally owned, and used all of their software programs at one time or another, and can personally vouch for their reliability, and usefulness. And so, in keeping up with the "Jones's"(I.E. Adobe), The great folks at Extensis have just released their latest and greatest suite of programs titled, Extensis Photo Imaging Suite. for the purposes of brevity, I will refer to this program as EPI Suite in this review. The Extensis product line is extensive, and broad in its scope. It currently stands at roughly 20 plus programs all targeted at digital imaging tools including type and layout programs. This newest Suite of programs contain the top 5 programs all bundled together into one singular "Suite" of powerful creative tools. All of these programs function independently of each other, and do not include a "Version Cue" style of interface like its Adobe counterpart. That about wraps it up for Extensis Photo Imaging Suite. Every program included in this suite is another powerful step in the workflow of photo imaging capabilities. To go from enhancing an image, cleaning it up, masking it off, framing it, upscaling it, to finally cataloguing it, Extensis Photo Imaging Suite rocks. Without exception, I could, and do use every one of these programs in my daily imaging, and will for a long time to come. In closing I want to urge all of you to take a good look at this great suite of programs from Extensis. I know that many of you out there think that the only program that you need to be fully digital is Adobe Photoshop. MacFonts Mac

4 stars (Mac Fonts) - Was pretty excited when I saw the fonts package. The box said "Over 1000 TrueType fonts" I figured that it meant just subtle variations of the same. While this was true for the majority of the fonts, the "BN" set of fonts had the most variety. The little quick reference guide book was very helpful with letting you get a peek at what the fonts look like to see if you even want to load it on your system. The book however was at times a little confusing, the names of the fonts would be on top of the fonts for some and then under the fonts for others. You had to kind of double check that the one that you wanted was the one that you installed. Played with some of the fonts in LiveType and I had a blast. Since I kind of wanted to see the fonts in action I would look through the book then choose a font to load. For it to take effect I had to keep restarting LiveType for the font to show up. So after a while just loaded a bunch of them and then made some scrolling text. Had lots of fun with the "Xmas Lights BRK" & "New Year Dingbats". Being able to take just the dingbats and alter them on screen give rise to lots of new and creative ways for me to make my designs a bit more fun and have very different appeal. There were also some more down to earth fonts like "Boron" & "Teen Bold" that gives a bit more punch than "Times New Roman" but still not be to off putting. Also previewed the fonts in TextEdit to get a feel for the differences quickly. All in all really liked what the package had to offer even with the limited font manager and having to load each individual font. The variety of new fonts is worth it. 5 stars (Finally a font collection for Mac!) - It's about time someone gave Mac users a reasonably priced font collection! MacFonts has over 1000 TrueType fonts in three categories: classic, refined and designer fonts. You can even use the included font manager to activate your font selections temporarily or permanently; very cool! ...

2 stars (Transparency Problem) - This product is very nice when it works. However, I'm having the same problem as the reviewer below me. When I attempt to export the image - either by saving, draging or copying, Hemera places a transparency over the object, making the product worthless. I gave it two stars because, for the two months it worked, it worked well, however, now, it won't work at all. And as the other reviewer stated, support is nearly non-existant. 1 stars (Can't use this program) - This product offers much to chose from and I really liked the photos. However, I have yet to get this program to work right. I am able to view the photos but when I go into the the Export Wizard to save the photos, the photo has a transparency over the top of it, instead of in the background. I tried bypassing the Export Wizard by right clicking on the selected photo and saving. This also inserts the transparency over the photo. I called Hemera in Canada and they instructed me to call Encore USA in CA for support. Encore USA said they couldn't help me. Encore's technical support is "limited to crashes, error messages and lockups". I also referred to their website hoping to find help in the knowledge base or FAQ's. There was VERY little about this software and no help to be found. I wasted my money on a product I can't use and that offers no support for issues out of my control. 4 stars (Best value Hemera offers, but a few cautions) - First, if you're thinking about using these photos for print, you may wish to think again. Most objects run between 300-600 pixels in width or height, or 1-2 inches at 300 DPI. Stretch them bigger than that, and they'll start to blur and/or get jagged. Also note, that if you try to export/save an image from the Hemera Image browser and select the 300 DPI setting, the browser may stretch the graphic larger than it's actual size, causing blurring and jaggedness right out of the gate.
