5 stars (Very Pleased!!) - I love this software! It exceeded my expectations. I am so happy with it. I had one question so I called and spoke to a nice gal who helped me. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. I am also very pleased to find that they send me more recipes for free each month in the form of a cooking newsletter. I highly recommend this to everyone. 5 stars (Works for me!) - Installed on XP Pro on laptop and desktop without any problems (or patches). Does everything I need and has great recipes. 1 stars (Don't buy it) - I downloaded and installed the XP patch, thinking that would prevent it from crashing - but it didn't help. Every time I add a recipe (which is a trial in itself) or create a menu, it crashes. I'm have to accept that I wasted my money and go back to my old Mastercook software. Don't waste your money on it too. ...

1 stars (Cook'n Deluxe) - I entered 60 recipes and right after I was done the program crashed and destroyed the data file. Tech support told me to backup. I had to download the program again. After entering 20 recipes I tried to backup and the program crashed again. What a waste of time. 1 stars (WORST COOKING SOFTWARE EVER) - old interface, many bugs, user extremely unfriendly, a complete waste of money for overpriced piece of cooking software developed by some unexperienced software writer, that is lucky to get away with such an unsatisfactory job! Get living cookbook software instead, instant download online, it is the best one by far. 1 stars (Crash happy recipe software) - I never write reviews of software, or anything for that matter. However, I felt compelled to warn others before they throw away 40 bucks on this software. It is very hard to install if you are missing some .dll files. You have to scower the internet to find and download the right ones. Also, I bought the combination package that had two other recipe cd's included. If you load these in the wrong order, watch out as well ! Once I finally got everything up and running, it worked for about a month, then crashed. I finally got tired of fixing this program, and decided to use the cookin' delux cd's as drink coasters. Beware. ...

3 stars (To Much Work!) - Granted this is about the only software on the market that semi gives you what you need, but it takes alot of time to learn. I actually had to print out all the help notes, and i'm an experienced user. The shopping list is really worthless. You need to write the recipes exactly in the same wording, so it understands what items to add to your shopping list. When I first got it I spent hours loading and re-loading the software because it would freeze up and just quit. What's with that? I did like the "pantry" feature, but when you want to buy two different sizes of the same item, trying to figure out the ounces takes major time. I think Valusoft needs to listen to their customers before releasing their product. But the recipes are a hugh benefit.That's the only reason I didn't return it.... 5 stars (Mastercook is the King of the Kitchen) - I started with MC 4.0 and didn't care for it..the interface was too clunky. I picked up MC 6.0 and really liked it and ValuSoft took it over and has impressed me with each release by fixing some bugs and adding new features such as PDA support in version 7 and with 8.0 we get the Web Import Bar that makes gathering recipes revolutionary. Unfortunately, ValuSoft seems to have gotten a bad rap in the reviews I've read, but each new release is quite an improvement. This is great recipe, nutrition and meal planning software. For $20, you can't beat the value of this power-packed software. 4 stars (Great Program/ Not complete Package) - The program is wonderful but it took me much longer than I though it would to learn. It would have been helpful if I had known this CD was not a package and would not include any sort of instruction booklet. I would have spent the extra money to get the CD and guide book all at once if I knew I wasn't going to get even a 1 page basic guide. ...

Circus Ponies Notebook V1 2 Mac

5 stars (Using NoteBook daily for 3 months) - Finally I found a notebook program that does what I need, is well supported, and intelligently designed. My favorite feature is being able to drop whole files (or links to files, if I choose) into the notebook, and then be able to just click on them later for opening in the appropriate application. And for pdf or other image files, I can even preview them in a little frame while still in the notebook. The way the information is stored (normally invisible to the user) seems to be very robust. Any file which is dropped into the notebook retains its original form as a file inside the notebook bundle (which is really a unix directory). I now use the program for organizing all my notes at work (I'm a scientist) and at home. I have it open on my computer most of the time. I completely disagree with the reviewer who couldn't figure out how to use the program, even though he was experienced with computers. For me it was easy, and recently when I needed help with something, I sent email to the support address and got very helpful advice within only a few hours. I'm buying a copy for my dad now. 5 stars (A wonderful tool!) - Notebook (NB) is a powerful database disguised as an outline. Well, not really "an" outline, but a seemingly infinite series of intertwined outlines. You can use it on as simple a level as you wish - just treat it as if it were the spiral pad it pretends to be on the page (with very powerful lookup features) and you're already way ahead in the information storage and retrieval game. If you want to get a little more complicated, start to think about the implications of an outline made of a contents page (which lets you move the headlines beneath it around as you wish) and divider pages (which are the headlines on the contents page) - each of which is an outline itself, with the headlines of the divider page outlines referring to regular pages within the section marked by that divider. And, oh yes...
