This guy should be arrested for writing this B.S. and ripping buyers off. 1 stars (Scam artist) - How can this guy convince people that he holds the cures to diseases and ailments and then get them to fork over money to be enlightened? I had to talk my girlfrineds mother out of buying this turd. The guy is an admitted felon and con-artist and still people send him money. It's sad that he can pray on the fears of the general public and create more disinformation on the pharmaceutical industry. He's an oportunistic bottom feeder out to make a quick buck on fear and false hope. I think there is a place for alternative medicine but his book contains no real information and worse yet, dangerous information. I hope there is a special place in hell for folks like him 2 stars (Read first - Buy next) - I think this book is not as bad as some portray it. Some of the reviews here are on the edge of being hateful, and I think it's wrong. A review should be about the contents of the book, not about the way one feels about the author. I bought the book and I did find some useful info about alternative medicine. There is also lots of insight about the way big money influences the decision making of FDA. Having said all that, I must admit that I have expected much more from "Natural Cures". No doubt Kevin Trudeau is a good promoter. He is so convincing in his infomercials that it is really hard not to buy the products he advertises. 1 stars (eye opening book) - very informative book. this kind of information will not be found in pharma sponsored publications. you owe it to yourself to pick this one up. 5 stars (This book saved my life) - Notice how all the negative reviews are from people who haven't even tried using the information in the book to cure themselves? Bunch of cynics and skeptics who would negate the book no matter what information it contains, because they think they're working for A Current Affair or something. Meanwhile, they're missing out on the most amazing book I've ever read. I am one of the world's biggest skeptics, I am an agnostic, I don't follow any religion, I don't believe in "new-agey" remedies, I don't believe in fate; I believe in science, not superstition. That's the point, this is not some crackpot or new-agey theory, everything stated by Dr Clark makes perfect scientific sense. I hadn't even read the book and I tried the "zapper" not expecting anything and actually hoping to discount it, but it instantly nearly cured me of manic depression and the constant flu-like / CFS symptoms I had been dealing with for years. As I continued the treatment, in conjunction with having all my mercury amalgam fillings removed, my situation continued to improve to the point where I can now live a totally normal life. Before starting Dr Clark's treatments, I couldn't even work a regular job and was sick, exhausted and depressed all the time. This is the most important book I have ever read and it saved my life! A must for people who feel that the body has the power to heal itself from inside and are tied of the medical professions inadequacies. 5 stars (A therapy that works) - I am a Medical Doctor of Ecuador and I`ve been using the method for a few months and it really works in the percentages that Dr Callahan mentions in his book. It is a self help book, I think that the reason why some of the people who mention that the method didn't work on them was that in some cases the help of a professional trained in the method is required. Most of the time you can practice in your own home, but other times you really need help, the acupressure points need to be tapped in the rigth spot, if you tapp a little far away you are not producing the effect that you need. So give a try, if it is not effective look for someone trained in the method. 5 stars (Ginormous) - This tome is huge and full of great info for the practicing acupunturist and layman alike. Being the latter its size is a bit intimidating but well worth the money and time to read through. I also purchased the excellent flash cards by the same publisher. 5 stars (My fave acupuncture book, one of my favorite Paperweights) - Really a phenomenal book- the best, most complete, and authoritative book on acupuncture for students and practitioners. If you're a regular person, though, don't expect to be able to use this info - it's for professionals. My favorite things about it are the anatomical point location drawings, and the references to Chinese classic acupuncture texts. Since not all of these texts have been translated into English, this is a treasure. Besides that, it has other uses: My desk from IKEA isn't too sturdy. The place you put the keyboard has a pad for the butt of your palms (ergonomic, but not really), but that part is attached by hinges (because it's so important to hide the keyboard when you're not using it) and I put a lot of weight there, and today the second of its three hinges broke. It just hung there looking stupid. It seemed to be saying, "See, wasn't it worth it to spend three hours lost in IKEA wandering around looking for the checkout, grunting me into the car, putting me together, then dissembling me and moving me across town to your new house, and reassembling me?" My wife and I determined that screwing door jam deadbolt lock hole covers across the space would be the ideal engineering solution. But to drill into it, I needed a solid surface beneath it. I placed atop my chair seat a hefty trinity of Harrison's, A Manual of Acupuncture , and A Practical Dictionary of Chinese Medicine, plus the more slim Dao of Chinese Medicine to create a firm work table. 5 stars (The Best) - From my experience I would sincerely say that this is not only the best book ever written about "A Course in Miracles" but one of the best spiritual books EVER written. This is because it does the seemingly impossible. It makes the heretofore arcane "A Course in Miracles" completely understandable to both the novice and the experienced student by bringing it into the vernacular. What was confusing before is now crystal clear. Writers have been trying to do that for 30 years, but this book is the first to really succeed. Second, it is of great value to those who aren't interested in A Course in Miracles by setting the record straight about Jesus, who never intended to start a religion, and making universal spiritual truths more clear for everyone. The Disappearance of the Universe talks the way that people really talk, and in doing so brings everyone a message that can't be missed - if you're ready for it. 1 stars (Should be called the "Book of Lies and Deceptions") - Arten pg. 55: "What if you don't try to convince people to believe anything? Start writing it like it's just a story - as though you made it up. Then tell people they made you up. It's all made up. That's the point, my brother." Got through 100 pages before I decided not to waste any more of my time. This book is full of contradictions, the writing is crude, the authors attitude towards heavenly messengers is ridiculous. How many people on earth if they TRULY had heavenly messengers pop out of thin air would talk to them as crudely as Gary does. Gary's belief that he's witty and humorous is the illusion. After 100 pages I was still waiting to find something NEW and enlightening.
